| E36 front brake caliper sticking? | 14 Aug 2005 19:53 GMT | 2 |
I have had a problem with a sticking front brake caliper on the left hand side (drivers side in UK) . It would intermitantly stick causing the steering wheel to judder, it would slowly ease up then go away (presumably as the pad wore away) then come back either in the wet, or for ...

| Reset parking sensors? | 14 Aug 2005 19:29 GMT | 5 |
I've just bought a 2004 M3 Coupe and I love it! The only issue I've found is that when I engage reverse gear the rear parking sensors beep when there's nothing behind the car, is there a way to reset them or will it have to go back to BMW? If it had to go back would it

| How to replace '87 BMW 318 V-belt | 14 Aug 2005 07:10 GMT | 3 |
I wanted to replace v-belt on my '87 BMW 318. But I do not knew how to get old one off as it also drives radiator fan, and diameter of fan blades is larger than v-belt's. Bentley manual (for BMW e30) does not say anything about it, just to

| Trunk liner replacement after E30 rear shock R&R | 13 Aug 2005 08:13 GMT | 1 |
I pulled away the carpet-ish trunk liner with reckless abandon in order to get to the upper rear shock mounts. Now I have to get the stuff back in place. The back vertical edge sits behind the rear seat backer, which is attached by a nickel-sized black plastic "rivet". How do I

| Another fake "Al Qaeda" Videotape | 13 Aug 2005 03:11 GMT | 4 |
It is now clearer than it has ever been that the TV networks and their big city "news" paper support apparatus are the enemy of the people. This week another fake videotape, this time supposedly featuring the "Al Qaeda number two man" Ayman al-Zawahri. This

| Effect of air conditioner on mileage | 12 Aug 2005 19:11 GMT | 35 |
My beloved 1996 750il has only an analog "mpg" needle which I believe is a manifold pressure guage based on how it reacts. On a long cruise this past weekend I played with the air conditioner. If you belive the MPG needle, the A/C takes fully as much power as 10 MPG on

| CDV | 12 Aug 2005 18:22 GMT | 1 |
I seek the group's wisdom re: Clutch Delay Valve (CDV). Some feel these valves, found I believe on a number of BMW's, certainly on my '05 330Ci, interfere with clutch action and hasten clutch disc wear. Others say it's an effective cushioning of the drive train. Some say it makes ...

[UK posting - quid = pounds] Noticed an e34 525i se, 24 valve on a J plate at a local garage (which specialises in 4WD tonka toys) a couple of weeks ago - it had a flat near side rear tyre but apart from that looked in pretty good nick. When

My sister went off to college and left me her 1993 BMW 325i. Its in good shape all around with just over 100,000 miles on it, but it has really bad acceleration. It goes 0-60 in 14+ seconds. Any tips will help, thanks.

Just purchased a 2002 530i and the outside temperature indicator reads temperatures as much as 10 degrees higher than the actual outside temperature. Is my sensor bad, or is this a design problem on the 530i? A friend who works in service at a BMW dealer (not where I bought the ...

There are rumors flying around that GM is about to gobble up BMW. Hoax, I'm sure. Has anybody heard anything in this regard - anything that's remotely smells like fact, to be specific ?
