AC Compressor Gone?04 Sep 2005 16:02 GMT3
First post to this NG.  My '99 328i with 42K miles has finally had its first
hick-up.  Last week upon a 30 mile trip in moderate heat I had my AC On.  AC
in this car was perfect.  Upon exiting the freeway and stopping at the first

I have a '92 525i with the standard BMW radio/cd head. Recently the right

pops, only in the right channel. Is the volume pot dirty or is there
something else causing the problem? Thanks!

BMW differential?03 Sep 2005 01:32 GMT6
I thought I had a wheel bearing going as my car is noisy when it moves
off from cold. It sounded so like a wheel bearing that I asked my mech
to do it. He pointed out the noise stops once the car has done a few
miles and checked with a BMW mech who said it was the differential and

The interior panels (Doors, wall panels by the back seat, headliner, and
rear deck) in my E36 1993 325IS are driving me nut! They look like crap. The

The BMW dealers say you need to buy BMW cats, which cost TWICE as much.
Has anyone ever put non CA cats on their BMW and then pass a
