| 635 passes emisions in NY but not MA | 26 Sep 2005 18:35 GMT | 15 |
I've got an interesting conundrum. My car is registered in Massachusetts, where it just failed its emissions NOx. I took it to the BMW service station in NYC (57th st.) where they ran a NY inspection on it, and found there was nothing wrong with it.

| need recommendation on buying used BMW sedan | 26 Sep 2005 17:42 GMT | 14 |
I've owned various German cars in the past: assorted VW's, '84 944, '87 MB 190, and '91 MB 300e. Now I want to get a BMW, but I know very little about their various models. What I'm looking for is reliability foremost, followed by fun to drive, and fuel economy. I like a stick ...

I have just bought a C320 se which is a flat 6 2.2 litre engined car. I noted the perf data to be around 8.2 secs for the 0-62mph however my car takes around 9.5 secs. Is this because mine is an auto?

| E46 2001 325 coupe auto | 25 Sep 2005 16:27 GMT | 3 |
Do the auto boxes on the 325ci (and indeed all BMW's) have the steptronic function as standard or is Steptronic an option? I'm looking at one but haven't had the chance to get to the dealer yet. It's on the website as having an auto box but don't fancy the traditional auto.

My dealer sold me tire insurance. I had a flat tire and tried to put through a clain to the company - safe guard which handles the claims. First they told me I had to fax them the original agreement. I thought this was strange as I wondered why they would not have a copy - and

I bought a new x5 this year and was told that everything was covered except the tires and gas under the extensive warranty. When I picked it up the steering wheel was off center about 3 degrees but the car tracked straight on so I did not worry about it... I did call service and ...

I recently had the service engine soon light come on in the Z4 after a fill-up. I took it to the nearest service center and the error code was (as you might have guessed) a loose gas cap (though the "check gas cap" light didn't come on, and I don't see it when I first

| 92 735i/e32 - slight oil leak. | 23 Sep 2005 06:40 GMT | 9 |
I have recently aquired a 735i in great shape. The only downside is a very slight oil leak coming from the front of the engine. I saw a few other (same era, e32) recently in parking lots & talked to on gentleman; they all appear to have the same very slight oil leak.

| wheel upgrade time | 23 Sep 2005 00:13 GMT | 13 |
Are there any fitment issues when using wheels intended for a 2001 M3 on a 2001 330ci Sport (2-door if it makes any difference)? I know the brakes are larger on the M3, so smaller brakes on the 330 shouldn't be an issue? No? Here's why I ask: TireRack has the wheels I want but ...
