I've been more interested lately in obtaining a Z3 "M" series. This will
be my firts BMW, although I have admired them for years. Accroding to a
number of sites, the only years for the M series were 1999&2000 for the
240hp engine, and 2001&2002 for the 310hp version.

  I've found a nice semi-low mileage 1994 740i. It has @101k miles. I
believe that it does have the dreaded Nikasil engine, but being a low

On my 316i (4 years old) the Engine Light goes on for weeks and then goes
off for a few days then back on.
The garage said this happens to all BMWs and Audis, just ignore it.
Has any one any help on this.
