Ok, after having a hair raising skid (no damage! thank goodness), and
then experiencing a certain feeling of instability with my E39. I have
been trawling through this board for some answers and would like a few
recommendations

 While sitting waiting to pick my kids up from school, I was looking
at the adjustment on the sunroof (it's not closing real well) when I
lost power to the sunroof. Wasn't too worried about that until I
realized I didn't have power to important things like the ignition. I

1. How would one clean a plastic widow which is starting to yellow.
2. Is it expensive to have that window replaced.

Speedometer has been quitting intermitently, but has finally quit
altogether, with the oddometer failing at the same time (I presume this is
obvious.. but ...).  Checked the connection at the erar differential and all

Hi , i got an Euro M3 E36 and i have a little problem, my engine leaks some
oil from a conical screw situated in the 6th cilinder...
I try to explain to you where the screw is located; when I'm under my car
(under the gearbox for example) looking forward in headlights direction this

Ok, so i reckon that axle stands for the rear of my e39 (01) can be placed
on suspension subframe (rear).
Is this ok?

Just bought a pair of axle stands for BMW e39 to adjust handbrake, I just
want to make sure where you'd put the stands (car rear).
Can someone plz confirm?

I need some help, please.  My '83 533i (166k) runs really well.  Just
had it tuned, replaced brake pads and rotors as they were in tough
shape.  Had all fluids checked and changed.
Three issues that I can't seem to resolve:

engine is set back so that three cylinders are under the front cowling.
Is this correct?

I have a '92 525i Touring and both rear accumulators and one self-leveling
rear shock is toast...meaning it will cost $1,250 to replace. I can convert
the car to gas shocks for about $900 (both prices include labor).
My question is, if I replace the hardware with new springs, good ...
