I have a 5-spd manual.  When shifting from 1st to 2nd, as I let the clutch
pedal out, the car sometimes "leaps" forward.  This only happens between 1st
and 2nd and is intermittent.  The dealer has looked at the transmission
twice and can't find a problem.  Any ideas?

Strange, the heavier wagon body only comes with the smaller engine
here.  If I want performance, handliong AND cargo capacity, It seems
that I'm out of luck with BMW if I live in the US.  
Has anyone heard if this model will become available in the US for 06?

Does anyone know what the tyre pressure values are supposed to be  for
the E39 for the front 225/R18 and Rear 265/R18.

have added the door tweeters but they don't seem to work. Is there

Okay, I'm relatively new to BMW ownership but over the 3 or 4 months
I've been listening in on this group I have read a number of posts
concerning brake discs (rotors not pads) wearing out in 50/60k miles. Is
this typical, or am I picking up on something that might not really be

   I found a 94 740i that has some slight front end damage. I'm only
familiar with the E36 3 and similar E32 5 series cars.

Are any of the interior luxury items or exterior styling items of the

Just had new CATS installed on my 2000 E39 M5.<p>Now, when I park and
exit, I hear the sound of a rhythmatic drip or tap coming from under
the car.,p>I think it's the metal expanding or contracting.  It never
happened prior to the replacement.

Is this for sale in the UK with automatic gear box and 4 doors? If so
what year was it first available please?
