| e32 - auto -- shift trim -- how to replace? | 22 Nov 2005 00:12 GMT | 4 |
In the e32 -- automatic transmission. There's a bit of trim that slides with the gear selector... How does one replace that? I read the manual; but it skips over how to remove the wood trim that's there to gain access... it just shows the picture of it removed.

I wonder if the new run-flat tyre system found on all new BMW's in the UK market will go the same way as the metric tyres they fitted back in the 90's Discuss

| Problems with http://www.tvfree-modules.com/ - comments please | 20 Nov 2005 22:07 GMT | 1 |
Just over a year ago I bought the kit to allow continuous viewing of the TV at all times (even when in motion) and I also bought the AV kit to allow connection of video and mp3 players to my new 320D Sport. The kit has worked well, and I am pleased with it. This is my first BMW

| 733I sunroof motor | 20 Nov 2005 21:47 GMT | 4 |
I just got an '84 733i for dirt cheap today. At the top of my long list of "little" things to fix is the sunroof. It leaks, and the car has been parked for a long time, therefore the trunk and floor are waterlogged. The sunroof opened up a little bit but wouldn't close, and I ...

| E34 wheels - replacement options? | 20 Nov 2005 14:17 GMT | 10 |
I have a 1995 525TDS SE fitted with the metric wheels/tyres. Whilst the wheels/tyres are in good condition and have reasonable mileage left, I know the tyres are expensive and want to find / put on "the replacement wheels" - trouble is I can't

| 1999 E34 2.5L I-6 (323i) ~3,000rpm engine whine - normal? | 20 Nov 2005 09:16 GMT | 7 |
As the subject says, I have a '99 323i that makes a distinctive whine at approximately 3,000 rpm (changes with load) sounding like a whistle/whine coming from around the intake area of the engine. As this car is new to me, the previous owner said it's normal and the

If you own a BMW or ever think you may ever buy one, you should get yourself a membership in the BMW Car Club of America. There are several benefits, but the best part is that you get a subscription to the club magazine, The Roundel. This has to be the best, highest quality car ...

| Oxygen, Lamda sensor 525i | 18 Nov 2005 23:33 GMT | 3 |
Oxygen sensor on a '94 525iSE ? I know it's fitted on the top of the exhaust pipe, just in front of the cat, but I'd be grateful if someone could tell me how easy is it to change without needing to get underneath until I actually get round to fitting it.

| Handling Question | 18 Nov 2005 22:11 GMT | 14 |
Took my 97 328 for a nice drive in the foothills the other day. While thoroughly enjoying playing games with how well I could set up the suspension for each turn and then TIGHTENING it by adding throttle to power through it, I started wondering just why it works this way.
