This question/answer info has probably been beaten to death, so
apologies in advance for the re-hash:
I drive a 2002 E39 with the, IMO, ugly 16" wheels.  I'd like to put
18" M5 wheels on this car, but I'm getting much conflicting info.

    When I was driving over the pass a months back, the obc pinged when it
sensed the temp was freezing outside (or so I remember it).
Today it pinged at 38 degrees F.  
Do I remember wrong from a few months back, or does it somehow pick a random

Does anyone know what problem may cause this indicator to come on?  How
can I fix this?  How to disable the warning light and drive without the
DSC?

   Does anyone know which fuse I remove to disable ,the very irritating,
chime for the seatbelts.  The manual doesnt specify and niether does the
fuse panel itself.

I am sure this subject has been covered before but I have looked back in
this newsgroup and checked several forums with no luck.
I have just purchased a '96 323i (Australia) but in only the couple of weeks
I have owned it, the wheels are already covered in brake dust.

Ok… This is really starting to get annoying. I have 328i 1998 E36 when I
first bought it the check engine light would stay on all of the time; finally
I got the dealer to fix it, after many trial and errors of finding the
problem. They replaced all of the cats. And then the O2 ...

The 'break' indicator on the dash is lite. What does this mean?  Could
it be a faulty ABS sensor?  What is the best thing to do?

Ive got a BMW 728 (E38) and want to remove the radio to plug a dension
ipod adapter into the cd connection at the back. Don't know where to
start, how do I get the plastic surround off, presumably theres a screw
under that?

Where could I buy some decent wheel covers for my snow tires on steel
wheels?

Our e32 has started to overheat.  It has not overheated in the past.
After about 10 minutes at idle, it's maxed out.  Driving doesn't make it any
worse, or better.

Hi, I have a problem with drivers door lock, it will work for about 2-3
weeks via the key fob and then packs in for a while and then mysteriously
starts working again. All the other locks are fine, just the drivers side, I
have to use the key to lock it after locking the others ...

Still no iPOD support for the new 5 series.. 3 series and X series are
OK but no 5 or 7 support.
Very strange since they have been marketing this for years...
Good news is that the standard CD player plays MP3 CDs and navigating
