Sudden drop of RPM while idling18 Dec 2005 17:13 GMT5
My 2000 328 has suddenly started having a "burp" in the idle.  Not too long
after starting the car, when it is at idle, it will suddenly drop RPM's and
almost kill the motor, then go right back to normal idle speed.  It only
does this maybe once every minute or so.  Once I take ...

I'm in the process of moving into a new house right now and I don't
have all my tools available.  I just need to know what to grab so I can
work on my car.
Could somebody tell me the sockets and misc. tools I need to change my

E39 Tranny Question 17 Dec 2005 22:40 GMT5
I have a 2001 525i and it's been getting a little rough at switching gears.
It's harder than what i'm used to. What can I do to make it switch a lot
easier and smoother?
Does the sales guy think I'm stupid?17 Dec 2005 16:16 GMT11
I test drove a 2006 330i (sport package, premium package) last weekend
and of course loved it.  The sales guy "informed" me that BMW restricts
engine output during the break in period and that once the odometer hit
790 miles, the full 255 horses would be available.  He said the
Head lights17 Dec 2005 12:58 GMT4
I have a 328i 1999. I am about to buy new headlights but they are
saying they fit in any 2 door M3 or 3 series from 1999- 2001. Mine is 4
door and I want to know if they fit?

Mysterious jerking at idle17 Dec 2005 03:08 GMT7
'98 E36, well maintained and in very good condition.
This has only happened a couple of times, but I'll
be sitting in traffic, then comes what feels like a sudden
jerk of some sort.  That's it. Everything else normal.
Wiper Refills17 Dec 2005 01:31 GMT1
Man, talk about one of life's "stupid" problems.
I used to walk into almost any auto parts store and pick up wiper
refills when I needed them.  All of a sudden this year, it turns out no
one stocks many refills - only a complete replacement of the blade, of
question about changing auto-transmission fluid in 1990 525i16 Dec 2005 22:57 GMT3
The auto-trans feels like it's slipping gears so I have heard that likely
means low fluid or fuild change.
I have the Bentley's manual and it calls for "removing the ATF oil sump
bolts", but the picture looks like the engine oil pan.
Workshy Inspection 2 on a tight budget?16 Dec 2005 18:11 GMT20
Hi I've got a 1994 320i Coupe and it's Inspection II time.
I dont do any real work on the car myself so here's my plan for a cheap
Inspection II substitute. Have I missed anyting major?

undercarraige cover16 Dec 2005 15:46 GMT7
I have an EVO M3, 1996, in the UK. It has a cover under the engine that
has come loose and scrapes the road over bumps or during spirited
driving. I have duct--taped it up as a temporary measure. I never
understood its purpose (my 1994, non-evo M3 didn't have one) and it
Get a new 330i or extend a lease?16 Dec 2005 14:37 GMT34
My lease is coming to an end in March and I have been contemplating on
extending it and waiting for 2007 330i's to come out.  My thought
process on this is the assumption that the 2007's will have the 2006
model's kinks resolved.
