Best place to buy Angel Eyes for E39 in UK...?13 Dec 2005 19:09 GMT1
I have found an eBay seller selling the standard and xenon Hella OEM
versions at £300 and £600 respectively.
Is there anywhere cheaper and is it worth paying the extra for the
xenon...?
OBC Replacement on E39. Doesn't anyone here know anything about this?13 Dec 2005 16:19 GMT3
I posted about replacing the screen on the OBC (2002 535iT, no Nav,
DSC) and got no response. Since folks on this group seem to be eager
to share information, I assume no one knows anything about it.
I've determined that I need to replace the OBC as a unit. No possible
1999 Z3 2.5 Sluggish Return to Idle13 Dec 2005 04:10 GMT2
I just purchased this car: it has 76k miles. The throttle 'hangs-up'
momentarily. It makes it very difficult to change gears, as I must
delay the shift to allow the RPMs to drop. (If it was carburated, I'd
say the throttle return spring was weak.) A receipt came with the car
speakers for 93 325i13 Dec 2005 03:13 GMT3
wondering if anyone here is familiar with the speaker arrangement in this
car. I don't have it here (it's my sons) and I'm trying to purchase
replacement speakers for the OEM units for Christmas.
Crutchfield says 5-1/4" speakers in the 'kickpanel' and 4" on the rear
Replacing the OBC screen E3912 Dec 2005 19:51 GMT1
I have a 2002 525iT, no Nav, DSC.
Carrying some long lumber that extended between the front seats and
had to make an emergency stop. One of the boards came forward and
slammed into the OBC (radio) screen wiping it out. It's nothing but an
Roadster Homecoming12 Dec 2005 17:55 GMT1
I was looking at my "BMW Magazine" and they had an article about last
years roadster homecoming on Labor day weekend. I googled some keywords
and didn't really get many hits. I would definatly like to attend next
year which will be the 10th anniversary of the event. I do not want ...
ECU's -- differences.12 Dec 2005 14:19 GMT7
I have 92 e32/m30 735i
I put a chip in & wanted to be able to switch back to "normal" mode easily (swap
ECU/DME boxes -- vs pulling the chip each time) for available gas.
Anyway; I picked up an module with the same bosch # -- but the bar codes are
E39 electronic erratic problem12 Dec 2005 06:50 GMT1
I have a 98 540 (E39) and started to have strange behavior from the on board
electronics when I start the vehicle. 3 times out of 4 it starts fine, but
when it doesn't, it seems the initiation of electronic routine would not
work. The steering wheel does not go down, the radio ...
2000 BMW Z3 Power Convertible Top Stopped Working!12 Dec 2005 02:41 GMT5
The other day I attempted to put the top down on my BMW Z3 2.3 and
absolutely nothing happened.  The motor didn't run, couldn't hear it at
all and of course top didn't move.  I assumed the motor has burned out.
I had noticed the past few months, the motor seemed to struggle a
Vaccuum tubes12 Dec 2005 02:28 GMT19
I have a 99' 528i and I believe I need to replace one or maybe all the
vacuum tubes in the engine (Mainly Drivers side) I am not sure where they
are at, I have worked on cars before Mainly Ford/Chevy. I've replaced the
Spark plugs on this car without a hitch. My questions are:

Deposit $1, gamble with $5112 Dec 2005 00:16 GMT2
Unlike other promo offers, there is no minimum deposit to be granted
the $50 bonus. The $50 however cannot be paid out until you have
invested a total of $50. Still you have nothing more to loose than $1,
but $$$ to win.
2008 7 series11 Dec 2005 21:35 GMT5
Looks pretty good.  They finally get rid of the "big butt" syndrome.  I
wonder if they will do that for the 5 and 6 series redesigns as well.
How to change read wheel bearings on 99 528i?11 Dec 2005 17:49 GMT1
Does anybody know a good site for instructions (or have) and details on
changing the rear wheel bearings on a 1999 528i?
325i: Where is the water coming from?11 Dec 2005 09:30 GMT7
The other day I noticed that the back seat carpet and floor mats on both
sides of my wife's 2001 325i were soaked with water.   I vacuumed up the
water and there was quite a bit, maybe 2-3 quarts.   There appears to be a
"subfloor" which held most of the water.
