325iX AWD question04 Jan 2006 22:36 GMT36
Looking at an '89 325iX and the owner says the AWD works sometimes and
doesn't at others.  Haven't had a chance to drive it yet, but wondered if
any one might have a reasonable guess as to the cause.  I don't know much
about the AWD systems.  thanks in advance
High KM 318is04 Jan 2006 12:47 GMT8
I have the opportunity to purchase a 1996 BMW 318is for $7500 CAN.  The car
is in perfect condition the only concern is it has 310,000km (186,000 miles)
is there any concerns I should have?  It has new brakes, tires, exhaust.

I had a new trunk-mounted 6-disc MP3 player installed in my E36 and
had my old factory-installed BMW 6-disc CD player removed.  Had a new
head unit installed, too.
I forgot to remove the old CD player's disc magazine and I have a CD

Help with Crash repairs04 Jan 2006 10:45 GMT9
Please help, I had an accident with my 2002 525i.  Two roof air bags (front
right and left) and driver side door air bag have popped out.  I am
wondering can I just reset the airbag control module with peake tool or
something after replacing the air bags.

ipod in 2001 330i03 Jan 2006 21:49 GMT1
I recently picked up a 2001 330i and I believe there is the potential
for a CD changer to be hooked up.  My question is ....has anyone used
one of these devices that plugs into the cd changer harness, and if so,
what's the best one....and what are the pro's and con's...i can't deal

GasCapCaddy.com03 Jan 2006 20:49 GMT18
I don't like the gas cap hanging down and putting scratches/scuffs in
my paint.  I thought about removing the leesh, but I don't want to lose
my gas cap.
So, I came up with this idea, received patent/trademark pending
Is my N-Reg a dinosaur?03 Jan 2006 19:58 GMT17
On a family trip from East Grinstead to Norfolk on Wednesday, on a
snowy/icy stretch of the A140, I had a scary moment when I thought I'd
seen my last Christmas! Although I was doing only about 35 mph in a
well-spread convoy, I suddenly lost control of my BMW 328SE Auto.
Replacing gear shifting cover (525i automatic)03 Jan 2006 14:47 GMT2
Ok...you know that plastic stip that covers the slot on the center console
that moves when you select a gear? Well mine has been missing for some
time now and I finally decided to replace it.
I was wondering, will this be a tedious affair? It's an older 525, 92 to

Learned Opinion Needed: Composite or Metal Water Pump replacement03 Jan 2006 05:06 GMT1
A thread on Pelican forum indicated that the Water Pump replacement
with the Black COMPOSITE material impeller is the preferred choice now
- over the metal impeller version.
Would you agree?  Why/why not?
UK Extended warranty02 Jan 2006 23:56 GMT7
Anyone else heard the rumours...
Extended warranty to drop in price (slightly) but an excess of £100 per
claim or £250 for "M" cars. Plus batteries and exhausts no longer covered,
no MOT insurance either and no accident management!
