Their english isn't great; but I'm curious how they can claim those #'s with
just altering the o2 signal -- and "maintain smog certification".
I pinged a few people that bought them, but they all had honda's ...
Good Independant27 Jan 2006 22:01 GMT1
Could anybody recommend a good BMW independant in Scotland, preferably in the
Edinburgh or Fife areas,i am fed up paying main stealer overinflated prices
and not being convinced they are really that interested in the cars they
work on,just in how much money they can take from you.

1998 BMW IL Oil Change Interval?27 Jan 2006 13:35 GMT39
A friend has a 1998 BMW IL that he bought new. I was speaking with him
the other day and he told me that the owner's manual says that the
recommended oil change interval is 100,000 miles. I told him that can't
be so and that I would check and see what I can find out.
thepartsbin.com.  They take your money but don't count on getting parts27 Jan 2006 10:38 GMT3
I ordered a bunch of brake parts for the car.  The parts never came.  I
can't get in touch with a real person.  Won't respond to emails.
Got ripped off.  Time for a credit card dispute.  Hopefully this will
save some of you the same hassle

Low oil pressure-BMW 530I26 Jan 2006 18:31 GMT10
My Bmw has 150,000 miles on it and has been religiously maintained.  I'm
now getting the "low oil pressure" readout along with the warning bell.
This happens when the car is warmed-up and then parked for a few minutes.
Then it occurs at every stoplight.  Once cooled down, it does ...
Boot release button.26 Jan 2006 14:06 GMT3
'94 525i saloon, sedan, whatever.
Just before xmas the button got sticky. The plastic sleeve it slides in
appears to be tight, stopping the button from moving freely. Bit of a pain,
as once depressed it's not that easy to pull it out again so the boot/trunk
325XIT with both rear springs broken at 47K miles?26 Jan 2006 08:23 GMT11
Hello everibody,
I have a 325 XIT model 2002, that I bought in November 2001. It has 47K
miles and I found today that both rear springs are broken!
It is normal that to happen for that car's age? I always use the car in
my 528i26 Jan 2006 08:17 GMT2
I have a 1997 528i.  Last night I finished replacing the radiator, thermostat
and housing, all hoses for the coolant system, and of course replaced the
fluid.  I'm seeing some white smoke from the exhaust.  I think it may be the
head gaket.  I wanted to know how long I can run on it ...
E39 Service Costs26 Jan 2006 08:09 GMT4
I think it may be cheaper to ship my car across the Atlantic, get it
serviced, then bring it back to the UK.
From an Inspection II quote from my local dealer - all prices converted to
US$ at current rates:
Hard to shift when cold.26 Jan 2006 06:28 GMT3
When I start the car (a '97 325 TDS) in the morning, I find it almost
impossible to get it into first gear: it simply won't go in. Then I
discovered that if I put it into third (while still keeping the clutch
depressed from the attempt to put it into first), and then back into
