AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION HELP!!!!09 Jan 2006 19:39 GMT1
I am having problems with my 1990 525i. It has a M50 engine and an automatic
transmission. The transmission starts out in 2 or 3rd gear. Once I reach high
speeds it seems to drive ok. Even when I shift it manualy from 1 to 2 to 3 to
Drive, it still stays in the same gear. I am ...
2000 E39 525i sedan09 Jan 2006 16:30 GMT2
The fuel gauge no longer reads correctly when I fill the tank.  At
present when filled the gauge reads just less than 50 litres and seem
to be getting slowly lower as time goes by.
Has anyone experienced the same problem and know how to rectify?
Ashamed to ask this,  but...09 Jan 2006 16:19 GMT6
On the 2000 Z3 there appears to be a storage compartment between the
roll hoops. Is this true?
If so, I can't for the life of me find a latch mechanism anywhere, and
I'm afraid to force it without knowing the coirrect means of opening

2000 E-46 headlights08 Jan 2006 17:05 GMT1
Unfortunately it is the wife's car - else I may take a bat to it.
Occasionally the driver's side headlight indicator in the dash would
light up. I would unplug and replug the light and all was well. Last
week it did the left headlight, then the right, then the left again.
New 325 SE or do I keep my E30 ?08 Jan 2006 15:26 GMT2
I am still very happy with my 18 year old 320i. Its fun to drive. But I
am doing more miles now, and worry about safety when surrounded by
idiots in 4x4s. So i need to think about Airbags, ABS etc in modern
cars.
Tracker Monitor - Whats the point if key jacked?08 Jan 2006 12:09 GMT15
So I am thinking of getting a nice new 325M Sport, and counting up all
the options; extras.  I am now getting worried about car security, with
a car with all those nice 'M' features.
So Tracker (UK based system) looks interesting, and Tracker Monitor or
1999 Z-307 Jan 2006 22:14 GMT3
I'm looking on the purchase of a 1999 Z-3 for $12999.00 with 100,000 miles
on it. I never owned a BMW before and was wondering what kind of scheduled
maintenance is scheduled for that mileage and might this car be costly to
maintain should it need it?
Coolant warning light on 1996 328i07 Jan 2006 21:39 GMT2
I have a 1996 328i and I am getting "low coolant level" warning light. I
checked the bypass tank and it is full and the car doesn't seem to be
overheating. Can anyone shed light (no pun intended) on this.
thanks
Add-on GPS/NAV for a 5 series?07 Jan 2006 18:57 GMT4
Hello.  My beloved 540i with 163k miles was totalled and i am in the car
market again.  Am looking at some 530i's 2002 or 2003.  However, almost all
of the ones i am looking at have no NAV system.  I really enjoyed that on my
old car.  I am told by my BMW dealer that they cannot ...
