This is usually a simple thing and ive been able to check this on every other car ive owned. I have a 1999 528i now and im trying to check the ATF level to make sure that its at the proper fill. I cannot locate where to check this level at, that seems to be no Dipstick

I've got an 85 325e that has been having some electrical problems lately, every once in a while when i try start the engine, it dies instantly after turning over but will start again without problem if i try a second time. Usually after it dies, my radio looses it's preset

Well, it's been almost a full 2 months without something going wrong! I noticed a few days back that at 70mph, particularly on smooth roads, there seems to be an odd noise coming from what i think sounds like the rear of the car (but you can't really tell....as ever).

I vote that BMW get rid of the "flame" slashes along the sides that look like a Korean automaker's idea of something "really cool" to sell to westerners. Then I'd fix the grill and front end. They "kidneys" are too flat-topped (look upside down) and there is too much slope to ...
