I have two problems with my 1992 525i. The defroster control doesn't seem
to work, I pulled the environmental control out and I can see where the
cable connects but when I manually tried to move it, it seems the cable is
stuck under the dash somewhere. What would be the procedure ...

I recently aquired a 1985 BMW 318i.  It will not idle properly.  When
the engine is not in gear and in motion it will jump constantly between
900 and 1100 RPMs.  Everything else seems to be running properly.  I've
been told by some that the idle control unit needs to be replaced.  ...

coolant is full, tepurature is normal, used air to blow out heater core,
does not seem clogged,removed glovebox and checked for blend air door
movement, blend air door seems to be moving. what am i over looking

I like to do my own basic servicing, so having done the oil,filter, and the
fuel filter I need to do the air filter. Easy says me, but having removed
all the allen bolts I can see the air filter cover wont come off!! Imust
be missing something.  Any ideas anyone. Thanks

I just finished installing the official BMW Bluetooth Cell Phone kit
in my 2003 530i. Here is some more information for those looking to do
it themselves (in no particular order):
1. www.circlebmw.com has the whole shebang for $500 shipped by UPS.

2006 550i:  Sometimes the iDrive just sits on the BMW screen for 15-20
seconds, sometimes it comes up right away.  The dealer says "oh, other
2006's do that also".  Has anyone else had this problem and did their dealer
solve it?  How?

heater blows cold, heater core not clogged, blend air door seems to move.
