| BMW Newbie | 25 Mar 2006 02:39 GMT | 12 |
I have owned numerous Jap cars over the past 20 years. I am, for the first time looking at a BMW 740i. Are they noted to be as dependable as the jap cars? I have put between 200K-300K miles on most of my Jap cars. Can I expect the same with the BMW's? Are they as easy to ...

There was a strange clanking sound at the rear end of my car almost 7-8 months back and when I went to a shop that works on beamers they told me it was the rear wheel bearings and quoted me $600 so obviously i didn't do it, instead my wife took the care to a local automotive shop

| E34 starting to sound deeper | 24 Mar 2006 18:40 GMT | 3 |
My 92 525i (E34) is starting to sound a bit deeper than it used to. The downside of my short commute is I don't think the exhaust ever warms up enough. Is this the front or rear muffler most likely needing replacing? The catalytic converter should be OK, no?

| 1984 BMW 318i Overheating | 24 Mar 2006 13:57 GMT | 5 |
I have a well loved 318i Tourer. It recently started overheating. The cooling system didn't seem damaged in any way, and i assumed it was the water pump - so replaced it. This helped for a while, but then it started overheating again.

| Protective windshield coating - anyone have this? | 23 Mar 2006 22:27 GMT | 2 |
I'm really sick to the back teeth of having my BMW windshields damaged (and once a crack forms, replaced) all too frequently due to stone damage. Even the >tiniest< pebble will leave a large gouge in the soft

| brake lights stay on after being replaced | 23 Mar 2006 04:00 GMT | 3 |
I am hoping you can help me. I recently had some brake work done on my 2003 BMW 325i. I had pads and rotors replaced, including the sensors. It is my understanding that the vehicle only comes with two sensors. One for the front brakes, one for the back ones, but I am also reading
