'94 530i Oil Change Questions30 Apr 2006 14:30 GMT1
I recently purchased a '94 530i and its time for an oil change.  The
problem is that I have no idea what oil to use.  I've looked through
the manual and it seems to recommend 15w-50.  Now my car has a little
over 140k miles on it so I would like to use what's best.  If it

not move.
Other forums tell of broken nylon gear (either on motor shaft, or
gearbox).
E34 Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement Question29 Apr 2006 18:45 GMT1
I think I managed to break my 1995 525t ignition lock cylinder today.
The key rotates but the shaft to the actual switch doesn't. The Bentley
manual simply says to insert a stiff wire into the cylinder and pull it
out. Which I've tried with a stick pin and that didn't work.
changing power steering fluid29 Apr 2006 15:20 GMT5
My power steering fluid needs to be replace. I was wondering if i can
suck out the old fluid from the resevior and pour in new fluid? Will
that work or damage the steering? Th reason is I'm selling the car in a
yr time and do not want to spend a bomb on my already high repair cost.
Help!! Can someone help me obtain a Carfax?29 Apr 2006 11:52 GMT5
I was hoping to join the family of Bimmer owners by buying this car.
It's a 2006 BMW 330i with quite a few miles on it.  I just want to make
sure it hasn't taken a beating...this being my first BMW and all.  It
sounds like a good deal but the only way to find out seems to be by
1998 528i problems29 Apr 2006 10:38 GMT1
I just had my BMW shipped cross country to me and the car is having
major engine problems. When I went to move it after sitting idle for
about 1 week, I turned the key and the instrument panel lit up like a
Christmas tree!  No rev or anything from the engine. On a hunch, I

==BMW== display on Nav Screen... How??28 Apr 2006 22:29 GMT1
Some of the widescreen Nav screens have a floating "==BMW=="
shown as a "screensaver" when the car is unlocked or just shut off...
mine simply shows the time at the bottom right of the screen.
Obviously the screensaver is way cooler  ... how can I get my 2001 M5

Yes I am an affiliate. But as a m3 owner I have to say that this
website has a truly decent extended auto warranty selection. Check it

sport package and it came with 17" wheels.
Does anyone know if there will be any problems doing this?

Continuing E30 Charging problems28 Apr 2006 10:59 GMT14
Review: Car runs until battery goes dead, when jumped starts and runs

good.  Problem remains.
Just got the alternator back in the car and got some volt readings.  Before
Microsoft Smartphone & BMW E90 (Suspected August 2005 build)28 Apr 2006 04:40 GMT1
I am a BMW freak & a Smartphone freak. I cannot get them to work together on
my E90/SatNav/Voice Control/Bluetooth prepared system. I have tried an SPV
C500 (nbg) and a SPV C600 (works some of the time). Has anyone managed to
get a combination that works?
