E46 M3 Differential Problem05 Apr 2006 16:33 GMT5
My 2002 M3 has had a continuous problem with load moaning
when sharp turns are made at slow speeds.  There was a service
bulletin concerning this problem, and the fluid was replaced with
a different kind.  This helped for a while but the problem returned.

OEM Brake Pad Thickness03 Apr 2006 18:44 GMT11
Can anyone tell me the pad thickness on new, OEM, BMW front pads for my
97 328?  I'm trying to estimate how many miles on the remaining pads
(~7mm) before I have to change them.  Planning a 4000 mile trip this
summer and don't want to run too low, but changing now seems like a bit
Door flops around when open like a birdie with a broken wing...03 Apr 2006 15:14 GMT2
I didnt shut my door properly and it swung open doing a LHT.
I braked .. and so did the door.
It closes OK, and it's all lined up fine .. but when open it flops around
lifelessly. IT doesnt 'catch' in the 2 positions to stay open.
Free to collector: E34 parts clearout (UK)03 Apr 2006 14:34 GMT2
I've got to clear some space before the end of next week so I'm clearing out
some spares for my previous E34. They are far too good to 'skip' but
probably not worth the time to Ebay due to weight/postage costs. Free to
collector only. (near Melksham, Wilts).

i recently bought a '95 BMW 318i. a few days ago, a light went on in my

84 E23 seat tilt gearbox03 Apr 2006 04:55 GMT5
I got this 733i and upon investigating the lack of solidity to the seal
back, I found that the outer tilt gearbox is gone save the cover, and the
cable is just sticking out in space.  The friendly local dealer I've been
spending a lot of money at lately says that part is over ...
Help with 84 733i03 Apr 2006 03:19 GMT2
My 84 733i has been in the garage taking up space for tooo long. I had to

very poorly. It ran great before I replaced the pulley and after I replaced
the pulley and tested it for a minute before putting the ...

I just bought a 2000 540iT w/90K miles.
My (non-dealer) mechanic cannot locate the source of an electrical

All AC controls function, but power is not getting to the compressor;
97 e36 remote entry intermittent02 Apr 2006 09:05 GMT2
Recently, the remote entry on my 97 328i has been acting up.  Sometimes,
I have to click the 'open' button 10 or 15 times before the doors
unlock.  Sometimes (most of the time) it works the first time.  Same
thing for locking.
fuel economy question01 Apr 2006 05:05 GMT9
Just read this article on Yahoo Finance:
http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/060329/fuel_economy.html?.v=12.
It says that cars are required to have an average MPG of 27.5.
Does that mean most (all in US?) BMWs would fail to meet this?
