we have a 1999 528ise touring which we put the child lock on on the rear
doors however we have now found we cannot now open one of the doors from the
outside or inside this problem has occured with no warning  the out side
handle seams loose as though one of the links has come ...

HI there I have a 1994 325is with 213Km on it and it is blowing white
smoke out the exhaust. Various sources are telling me its best to get a
new engine put in than to risk paying to have it torn down and examined
for bad head gasket. I have a few questions:

I've got a 1990 BMW 325i convertible that I bought about a month ago..
Brake fluid light came on a couple of weeks ago so I put some brake
fluid in.  Today the light came on again.  So I put some more in.
Drove about five miles and had brake fluid on the carpet on the

So I still don't know why the alternator passed its bench test, but I picked
up a second hand voltage regulator from a very nice chap online and swapped
it in and all is well.  The brushes on my old one were spent, so I suspcect
that was the issue.  I felt a little funny about ...
Fix Computer Clock LED Backlight...02 May 2006 21:18 GMT12
After a little tussle changing headset.. the backlight has stopped
working on the clock side of the coumpter. The diagnostic side works OK.
I've tried disconnecting & re-connecting etc but no clock.
In strong sunlight ,at the right angle, I can still see the clock working

Today I was doing my every-2-year brake fluid flush on my BMW.
I had finished with the two back wheels, and was starting on
the front passenger side wheel, when I sheared off the bleed

I have a 1992 525i Touring.
The rear window washer fluid tank is full, but no fluid is delivered to
the window when I push the wiper lever forward. I hear the sound of an
ailing motor, a rather unpleasant grinding noise.

My e39 is booked in to the dealer for the fourth time in 18 months for
the rear door vapor barrier to be fixed.  The dealer acknowledges that
it's a "design flaw" in the car, and I've never been charged to have
it fixed even though the car's now out of warranty.  I know it's the
