CD player question29 May 2006 14:12 GMT4
Jot a 1995 525i for a great deal. The CD player is not working.. I have it
taken apart and found a stuck CD - got it out, but still, I watch the
changer look for disks, a disk gets about 1/4 way in, and goes back out..
then I get a disk error. My thinking is that there may be a ...

I just wanted to thank everyone again for getting through a tough time.
Last month, I had my car stolen (e46) and the car has not been
recovered since then.
I finally bought a replacement, an e90 and it's nice to be back in this
Radio CODE29 May 2006 01:04 GMT1
I allowed my battery to drain, causing the radio to display CODE. I
_thought_ I knew the code it wanted, and attempted it and a couple of
variations, all of which were wrong. Now, I have the code card, but the
radio will not accept any entry. I know the code I have is the right ...
E 36. Different size spare28 May 2006 12:47 GMT10
Several months after buying a  '96  323i (in Australia) I had a good look at
the spare and realised that the tyres fitted to the car are 225-50-R16's but
the spare is a 205-60-R15.
My questions are A. is it usable as a spare  and  B,  if it is an indication
E30 ABS question28 May 2006 12:05 GMT2
Can anyone tell me where the metal stator marks which the ABS sensor
keys on are on the rear transaxles? The parts CD shows different part
numbers for abs and non-abs transaxles but unlike the 635CSi the stator
ridges aren't on a removable plate I don't think.

How to replace LEDs in e36 instrument cluster?28 May 2006 07:33 GMT6
I have a 1995 M3 with three LEDs out in the dash -- dark spots in the
speedo, fuel gauge, and tach.  How hard is it to replace these myself?
How hard is it to pull the cluster?  Can I buy individual LEDs to
replace those that are kaput?  From Radio Shack maybe?  Can I swap them
how to sell a BMW?28 May 2006 03:30 GMT6
I've got a BMW to sell and no one seems interested.
It's been in AutoTrader and on Craig's list for a week.
I've added it to Ebay and the local (San Jose) paper.
I'm even asking three grand UNDER Kelly Blue Book.
E36 Squeaky Steering Wheel28 May 2006 03:28 GMT7
I have a 95 325ic with a squeaky steering wheel....I've had
it in the shop 3 times (BMW Dealer) to have if fixed.  They
replaced 2 different parts (not sure what they were, but
something in the steering column that rubs against each
Fans not working 2002 53027 May 2006 16:18 GMT4
I got in my car today, after i started it I noticed the fans were not
blowing any air. I played with it a while and there was nothing. Even
if I turned on the Air and set it to Max nothing would come out the
vents. I am assuming it is most likely a blown fuse, but could it be
745LI speedo problems?27 May 2006 11:34 GMT9
anyone hear of the speedo being off in the 2002 to 2006 745 series?
Not the odometer but the speedo, could be as much as 10 to 15 mph.
Also I just found out that the brake lights will not work if the
ignition switch is not on. Is that right?

High Mileage M3 Advice26 May 2006 18:58 GMT2
Hey guys,
Curious what your opinions are, I have a 1996 M3 with 175,000 miles on it.
The miles can be described as primarily highway, with lots of hard
driving.  Cruising speed is 90MPH @ 4,000 RPM at almost all times.  All
Front end alignment - what are you paying?26 May 2006 17:16 GMT3
Just put new tires on our 2002 325. The car does not seem to track as well
as it did before the tires were put on. I thought to have a front end
alignment, but the dealer wants $250 (rip off!!) and is suggesting front
bushings also.. for another $600.. rip off #2.
