What is meant by "compound brakes"? (as in the compound brakes on the M3 competition package) I looked all over google and couldn't find it defined anywhere other then a veiled reference to different pad material (ie ceramic or carbon fiber). Thanks.

The owner's manual for my 2003 530i says that the proper coolant level is when the upper edge of the float is even with the top of the filler. Mine winds up about about 11/2 inches below that, but the temperature gauge doesn't register any overheating on long trips.

Ok let see if i can explain this. I have a 1987 325i with auto trans. in the middle of the console i have a dial that state S/E/123 i think E stands for Sport / E for economy and the 123 is probably for manual.

The main belt is very slack. I have adjusted the tension as far as it will go. does the alternater or the power stearing have adjustments on them.
