What are "compound brakes"?30 Sep 2006 19:11 GMT3
What is meant by "compound brakes"? (as in the compound brakes on the M3
competition package) I looked all over google and couldn't find it defined
anywhere other then a veiled reference to different pad material (ie ceramic
or carbon fiber). Thanks.
e30 rear wheel bearing30 Sep 2006 18:50 GMT4
I  have a rear wheel bearing failing on my '91 318is.  I normally do my own
maintenance but reading the procedure in my Bentley manual makes it sound
like I will have to rent a puller to get the axle out, remove the trailing
arm from the body to get the old bearing out, and that ...
E39 coolant level30 Sep 2006 15:14 GMT10
The owner's manual for my 2003 530i says that the proper coolant level
is when the upper edge of the float is even with the top of the filler.

gauge doesn't register any overheating on long trips.
Z3 sputtering upon engine warning light activation30 Sep 2006 03:14 GMT6
Yesterday when starting up my 2000 Z3 (3 hours since last running) The
"check engine" light, the EML light (electronic engine output), and the
ASC+T light remained illuminated and the engine began running extremely
rough. It seemed like 2 or 3 cylinders were variously misfiring. Not

Ignition Key Problem, 1989 325i29 Sep 2006 00:11 GMT3
The last few days I'd had to put some pressure to get the ignition key
to turn.  (I never knew the little button in the key is meant to be
pressed to release the lock when the steering wheel is turned to too
much of an angle when parked.)  Last night the key only turned a

Hey everyone,
My husband and I are moving to Germany and we hear it is much less expensive
to buy a German made car while we are IN Germany. However, looking on their
websites, it doesn't seem so. Can anyone explain to me how it is less

PLS HLP: E46 M3 competition package!!27 Sep 2006 11:47 GMT13
I have a question about the E46 competition package... it appears to me,

multi-function steering wheel and get the steering wheel with only a single
button for the DSC mode. So it seems that you loose the ...
