BMW tool kits...09 Sep 2006 13:25 GMT18
As expensive as BMWs are, the tool kit is both sparse and not of the

I have owned German tools-Hazet and Stahlwille- and while I've never

*HELP* Poor radio reception on an E36 (evo)08 Sep 2006 20:52 GMT2
I have installed a new radio in the car and it works great but the FM
reception is not so great.  Where does the antenna wire go once it
leaves the back of the radio?  The old unit which still worked seemed
to get much better reception than my new alpine unit.
How many different anti-theft wheel bolts?08 Sep 2006 20:23 GMT2
Recently bought an E39, which has the same ant-theft wheel bolts as my e34.
Both have the same number adapter, so either adapter fits the bolts on both.
Just wondered how many variations there are.
Mike.

1991 318is part # 0 280 202 203
Well, I think I have narrowed down my fuel/acceleration problem.  I removed
the air flow meter and put the ohm meter on it.  I tried different pin
combinations until I found one with resistance that changed with the movment

Hypothetical question: tires & curb damage07 Sep 2006 12:06 GMT2
Through lack of skill or by accident, most driver will occasionally
scuff their tires against a concrete curb. For ex. through poor parking
skills or by having to squeeze past other cars along a very narrow
road.

I have just sold my 1995 E34 525TDS, and whilst it had a few problems which
I sorted, I really liked the car.
However, the replacement does not inspire confidence and so I am looking for
another 5 ? series and have
Importing BMW diesel engine07 Sep 2006 12:00 GMT1
What was the last BMW engine that had essentially mechanical injection
as opposed to common rail? Are they available from dismantlers in
Germany or elsewhere in the EU? I wonder how hard building a diesel BMW
would be using a BMW engine, before they import them again. I don't
