E36 Transmission help03 Sep 2006 21:10 GMT6
My '96 328i, automatic, with 129000+ miles, was just diagnosed as having a
bad transmission.  I had the dealer do a transmission service in hope of
that fixing the problem, but no joy.  So now I need a new tranny.  The car
is in otherwise good shape.  Wheels and tires about a ...

E39 - Where is Heater Blower Fuse?03 Sep 2006 17:52 GMT2
I have a 2001 year 5 series - the AC/heater  fan blower stopped working so I
went to check if the fuse is blown.
I can't find the fuse - it is listed as # 76; rated at 40A.
The fuse is not in the glove box, or in the trunk.
E46 AC - does it always runs in recirc mode?03 Sep 2006 14:34 GMT20
I posted this three weeks ago but it never appeared on my
News Server, although it did appear on Google Groups.  But I
didn't receive any responses, so I'll give it one more try.
Does anyone know if the E46 Car/Key memory setting called

Manual for 1991 318is03 Sep 2006 11:29 GMT2
I can't seem to find the manual that I want.  Bently's E30 deal only covers
to 1990, and then picks the 318is up in '92.  I don't know which is better
to get, the one that covers the proper body style or the one that convers my
engine.  I imagine there must be another option that ...
Compare ''01 M3 to '99 Porsche 91103 Sep 2006 02:35 GMT4
Prices are similar, although the 911 is a tad more expensive, but I'm
split between the two.
I've read the M3 is more edgy and unrefined, but a blast to drive...
while the 911 is smoother and everything just seems to work perfectly
'87 325i cab02 Sep 2006 21:05 GMT7
I'm considering buying a '87 E30 325i cabriolet. The car looks
promising, without too much rust. Brakelines, fuel lines, cabriolet have
been changed the last two years, same with the calipers and brakediscs.
I am mostly worried about the engine and worn camshafts, bad
diagnosing secondary air pump failure on 98' 528i02 Sep 2006 08:39 GMT6
I suspect that my secondary air pump is or has failed.  When I cold
start the engine I get a loud whiring noise for a few minutes,
especially when I turn the wheels, and then it goes away until the next
cold start. I have a few questions:
318 is e36 bogs down under acceleration01 Sep 2006 23:08 GMT2
I am still battling a problem with my 93 318is for about 10 months
now.  It runs strong when cold but as it reaches normal operating temp,
it seems to bog down when the accelerator is applied medium to hard.  I
have learned to back of the accelerator just a bit and the hesitation
Air Con probs01 Sep 2006 23:08 GMT10
2002 330d with no cooling air the drive belt is fine, the fan works, and the
pump rotates when A/C is selected.  Does anyone have an idea of what to look
at?
E39 530i Service Intervals - Maximum safe interval?01 Sep 2006 20:06 GMT23
I'm looking at a 2001 E39 BMW 530i with 140k. It has FSH with the last stamp
at 139k. There are 6 stamps in total, meaning that this car has covered an
average of 23k miles between services.
Now, to me, this seems like a long time. Is it at the top end of what you

2002-2004 3-Series Owners; Need some Advice01 Sep 2006 01:27 GMT7
I am ready to upgrade to a new car (new for me at least).  As of the
current moment in time, my ideal choice would be 2002-2004 3-Series ci
2-door coupe with Auto Transmission, Premium Package, and Sport
Package.  Obviously I want to find one with low miles that still has a
