E30 M10 a/c compressor mounting bracket27 Oct 2006 19:49 GMT12
I have '87 E30 with M10 engine, and I am in a process of fitting a/c
from a wrecked car. It's time to fit a/c compressor now (everything
else is finished :-)
My first question is: does the compressor have to be at predefined
E39 vibration.26 Oct 2006 14:42 GMT10
No noise, just a low frequency vibration through the body..
Noticed it a few days ago at about 70mph. Now noticeable at 50-60mph.
Would I be correct in assuming it could indicate the guibo or rubber u/j on
the propshaft is failing? Cars done about 170k.

I think  i saw somewhere  the argument about E46 factory Nav  being
no good.I am almost ready  to buy my first M3  but one  of the things
that was holding me back  was that i wanted factory NAV(wanted to keep
the cockpit  as stock looking) as possible.. Every other car in the

Hi all I just went in and got my #1 inspection done and they told me
that my power window regulators were in need of replacing and they want
386 a piece to replace them.   The funny thing is that I dont think its
the regulator but rather maybe the rails it rides on or something.  It

1995 M3 Starting Problem25 Oct 2006 21:43 GMT3
Today I walked out to start my car, it was really cold. I ploped in the
seat, turned the key and... nuthin'. All the lights went on as
expected, but no crank at the motor. I returned this afternoon,
repeated the procedure, and boom, start.
Thick Green Pea Soup in Radiator25 Oct 2006 19:23 GMT1
I have a 1990 525i,  The low coolant light comes on (has been doing
this forever, I think it is the sensor), but recently the low engine
oil light comes on after you turn the car off.  I checked the engine
oil and it is at least 1/2 way up the dipstick.  I looked in the
E36 (K reg) Temp. overheat light25 Oct 2006 18:35 GMT10
I'd be grateful if anyone could shed some light on the likely cause of this
fault.
I've had my car (a 1992 320i coupe) for 6 years and it's never let me
down.... until the other day. All of a sudden the temperature needle shot
320d turbo 2001?25 Oct 2006 13:06 GMT12
How common is the 320d turbo failure? I have a 2001 and am a little
concerned its eventually going to cost me a bob or two, Is it
avoidable, and what exactly is the cost implication.
If a new turbo is fitted do they suffer the same fate?
Retrofit kit for 2006 E60 Navigation.25 Oct 2006 10:28 GMT3
I was browsing eBay a few weeks ago and ran across what appears to be
an official listing for the BMW E60 retrofitment kit for Navigation.
Looked fairly complex. Also listed at $4000!
Can this be the real way to update my E60 2006 (530i) to add NAV?  Has

Z3 advice please24 Oct 2006 12:00 GMT9
Hey guys,
I'm about to buy a '97 Z3 that's clocked 66,000 miles for US$ 10,000.
Money is basically the limiting criterion on a newer model or a Z4.
Any major issues or general impressions on the Z3 now would be most
BMW Service24 Oct 2006 11:56 GMT13
