| Dial gauge for brakes | 30 Nov 2006 16:34 GMT | 8 |
I'm planning to service the brakes on my '98 M3. I'd like to get a good quality dial gauge to check rotor run out, and a clamp to keep the gauge steady. I've seen pictures of a Honda clamp which is basically a flexible arm which attaches to the vehicle near

| BMW reset tool | 30 Nov 2006 14:32 GMT | 2 |
I have an 84 733i, and I've been working on fixing several of the problems in the car. One of the last ones that immediately concern me is the temperature gauge, which doesn't budge. The sender is good, the indicator is good (passed some current through it,) and I can "see" the ...

I've a problem with my '92 525i when the tempratures outside drop to around freeze point. The speedometer and RPM meter start jumping around, or stay at 20km/h 500 rpm. When the car has heated up and I stop it for 2 minutes or so the problem is gone.

| Low coolant | 29 Nov 2006 22:26 GMT | 5 |
My low coolant light has been coming on at first start in the morning. It only stays on for a short while (about a quarter mile of gentle driving) then it goes out and doesn't re-appear all day. The temp gauge never gets hot. If I let it sit most of the day after the initial ...

| Cleaning Convertible Top | 29 Nov 2006 16:55 GMT | 11 |
Just bought a used (10k miles) Z4 with a light tan rag top. Any suggestions on what to use to clean it and possibly water proof it? BMW has its own line of course but they are some other brand with their logo stamped on it so the price can triple.

| Z4 automatic vs. stick | 29 Nov 2006 11:52 GMT | 59 |
Anybody have a preference of automatic over stick? I will be buying a Z4. I want an automatic because 1) I will not be driving it like a race car and 2) the advances in automatic transmissions make them as reliable as manuals and 3) I have been driving autos for over 30 years

| odometer lights not working | 29 Nov 2006 10:52 GMT | 6 |
My odometer doesn't light up, making it very hard to read. The K's actually do tick over - when light shines on the dash you can see it... and all the other lights in the dash work fine except for the odometer area. I drive an E36, '96 318is M-Spec. I'm not sure if its electrical ...

I see lots of used/cheap M50 2.0 manifolds on ebay. they have a different part number to the 2.5 but I'm wondering what the difference is (if any)? Looking at doing the M52/M50 swap at some point on my 328i. Also

| 1989 325 Tires | 27 Nov 2006 15:38 GMT | 16 |
My 1989 325i uses 195/65 HR14 tires. After the original I've always used Michelin tires. I now find out Michelin no longer makes a 195/65. What is a recommended Michelin tire for my car? 195/60 OK? Thanks.
