petrol in diesel04 Nov 2006 23:58 GMT16

Remote Central Locking Problem (trunk)03 Nov 2006 23:39 GMT5
Before I tell you my problem, let me start by saying that I have very
little knowledge of the E39 Model BMW as I have only just recently
bought my 2000, 523i E39 BMW, however you all seem to be people to talk
to.
Lowering e3603 Nov 2006 21:21 GMT12
I have been told that if you want to lower any vehicle without buying
lowering springs .. all you have to do is make a ste of identical hight
blocks then put them under your car around the wheels .. then put a
torch to your springs heating them up and using the weight of the car

E36 jack pads (under the sill)03 Nov 2006 14:29 GMT6
My touring has lost a few of the rubber jack support pads that live
under the sill. I remember old e36 coupe did the same years ago. They're
about 2-3" in diamter.
I'm not overly bothered except for the idea that it's left a hole that
2004 530i transmission replacement - should I let the dealer do it?03 Nov 2006 02:35 GMT6
I have been experiencing a lot of hesitation when accelerating at
relatively low RPMs but to highway speeds.  So far the dealership has
replaced the torque converter and "reprogrammed" the computers (not
sure I believe that, or exactly what they did, anyway).  The next step
E34 coolant leak - can I fix it?03 Nov 2006 00:56 GMT5
1992 525i I've had since new & maintained by BMW, 116,000 mi.  The car
has a relatively new water pump (last major service).
Noticed a small puddle of coolant on garage floor yesterday.  Looked
into the engine compartment and it's wet at the base of the reservoir

I have a 1996 BMW 328SE Auto. There's some intermittent fault causing
the fan and control panel to go off for periods of anything from a few
seconds to all day. It's as if there's a loose wire, dirty circuit
board connection, dry solder joint, or something like that. Here's a
Z3 1998 1.9 changing filter help?02 Nov 2006 15:20 GMT2
I pulled the filter and it does not have the either the small or larger
small o rings attached.  It has the large orange o ring, but not the

top.  It does not appear  to be like either of the examples in the
