My 2000 540 is starting to make a nasty noise starting. It is an M62

E34 - Failed MOT test (annual inspection); is it worth fixing?04 Dec 2006 11:04 GMT4
Looking for advice...
I've had a 1993 E34 touring, 520i for about three years.  It's in 'OK'
shape; one of the front wings is starting to 'spot' and will probably
need replacing in  few months, an outer sill will need patching.
rear defroster interference04 Dec 2006 10:42 GMT2
I had the rear defroster on for the first time this season and when it's on
I lose the reception on the radio - just static all stations, turn off the
defroster and the radio is fine again.  Any thoughts as to how I'd fix this?
Thanks

clicking the switch is not changing anything. I checked the switch and
it's fine. I have also connected BMW to my laptop by using OBD II

Fuel Economy04 Dec 2006 06:59 GMT17
I'm considering replacing my 1996 Land Rover Discovery for a 1998 BMW525tds.
Can anyone tell me roughly what fuel economy I can expect from it (as I can
no longer afford a car that does 25mpg!!)
Thanks!

Keeping Convertables unlocked02 Dec 2006 22:56 GMT9
I am going to have an alarm put into my Z4.  I asked the owner what would
prevent someone from cutting through the top, not setting off the alarm and
trying to pull things out throught the hole.  He suggested a radar sensor
inside the car.
