What are your thoughts on the X5 V8 vs the Cayenne S?  The X5 seems more
high tech.

i've sold my old '96 318iS, now looking to buy to an E46, 2000 - 2002
would fit price range.
looking at 320i and 318i motorsport, i really liked the sports
suspension on my old iS and missed it when test-driving the 2.2 6cyl

Is it possible to lock my car without switching on the alarm? It's an 98
323ti with a class 3 alarm from BMW which goes haywire every once in a
while. The manual doesn't seem to say anything about the subject.
I want to be able to just lock it before taking it to the dealer.

I had my antifreeze topped up at a garage last month but my radiator light
is on again. Should i go back to the garage (the quantity was 1.5L)

Went and saw a red 1997 Z3 1.9 liter roadster which has clocked about
50 k miles that's selling for US$ 5.4 k (final price). Having known
nobody that owns a Z3, would appreciate some inputs from you guys on
the following Qs:

I have one of the rare removable hard tops for my 325i convertible, and
the headliner has come unglued.  It is still attached all the way
around the perimeter, just sagging in the center.
Has anyone reglued one of these before?  I just need to know how to

Last summer I bought a '90 E34 on an internet auction. My plan is (was?)
to keep the studded snow tires I got with it and then sell the car in
the spring. However, it's been parked outside the whole time and it's
taking in water somewhere. Today I opened the door to get a closer ...

1994 540i automatic. Brake pedal sticks when pressed, thus leaving the
brake lights on. I can pull it back up with my foot and the lights go
out. Even though pedal sticks, it doesn't feel as if the brakes
themselves are sticking.

I just completed replacing the front rotors on my 3 Series for the second
time since Christmas, and in about 500 miles.
I installed all new brake parts, and immediately had shaking in the steering
wheel under braking. The guy that sold the parts (R1Concepts, on eBay) said

Before i wrote off my 520i M50 i changed the water impeller for a metal one,
thermostat etc etc as it was going into the red and this fixed the problem.
i did about 200 miles that was all before the accident
I have come accross a 525 which has the same problems.

Just tried to open the E34 as someone said try here, didnt work with the key
in any door with the master key and holding up the handle etc etc.  ok only
way is jacking it up and powers leads from a charger onto the neg earth body
and back of the...ok i forget :-)

1998 740il, 100,000 miles.
Yesterday and today now the car's cruise turns off.
I am driving with cruise on and it turns off. The indicator light goes off
too.

I'm female and 55 and plan to drive alone 600 miles over a span of 2
days to see my daughter in my 1994 325i w/111K miles on it. Easy warm
terrain. Those around me (non-BMW's) are having a fit. I'm the
original owner of the car and it has had impeccable maintnance. A
