Just purchased a 1998 740iL.
The las time it was at a BMW dealer was in 2002.
Looks like the work done was for repairs, so said the service guy.
He gave prices for maintenance.

I've owned my '89 E30 (325is) since brand new. I've replaced the
motorized antenna mast at least 4 times and it's broken again. I'd like
to replace this antenna with a simple, non motorized fixed antenna mast
because the part alone is around $150. My local BMW shop won't do it

The wipers work on the low and high settings but the intermittent
setting doesn't. Moving the rolling adjuster does nothing. The vehicle
is equipped with a rain sensor and this also does not work.

The inside roof panel has plastic guides that sometimes break. I replaced a
set of them on my daughter's car, but now the glass roof panel does not stop
in the right place.

keys.  One works fine but the other just lights its LED but does not operate
the central locking.  The manual says that I can program alarm 'keys' but

hi i am new to this site so bare with me ! i have a 1992 325 e36 coupe
,and is blowing hot air out of  heater  all the time when car has
warmed up. moving the dail to cold does not make a difference,is this a
simple fault? i have the standard heater no air con by the way!

I bought a 320i recently and it's been functioning perfectly.  However it
occasionally makes a pinging noise for no apparent reason while I'm driving.
No warning lights appear on the dash and it's definitely not the parking
sensors.

In the E36 convertible (I have a 1996 328 convertible), since there are
no upper frames on the doors, the power windows are designed in such a
way that when you close the door, the window is supposed to go up by
itself another 1/2" or so in order to make a firm seal with the top.
