E39 brake job..18 Jan 2007 17:46 GMT18
My E39 requires front brake pad replacement. My local gas station owner
says he has ASE certified technician and can do the job as it's a
simple piece of scope and he does it all the time for other premium
luxury cars (I see many luxury foreign cars in his lot).

This recently occurs and often in the morning (cold?) when I drive out
of the house to drop

CAR WON'T START17 Jan 2007 22:13 GMT5
THIS HAS HAPPENED RECENTLY.  EVERYTHING WORKS, i.e., LIGHTS, RADIO,
ETC., YET THE ENGINE DOES NOT TURNOVER AT ALL.  AFTER A FEW TRIES, IT
STARTS RIGHT UP.  65,000 MILES NO OTHER PROBLEMS.  ANY SUGGESTIONS
735i '88 Emergency Flasher ...has a mind of its own....17 Jan 2007 14:00 GMT1
OK, you were all so great with the oil sensor question...here is the
second question....
The main cabin lights don't work and the emergency flasher goes on, on
its own, particularly when it is raining.
wires coming out of stick shift post17 Jan 2007 10:56 GMT8
I originally thought one of my kids had wrapped a wire arount my stick
shift, then I realized that the loose wires (about 6" on each side)
were coming from the stick shift itself!  Was somebody messing with my
car?  What do these wires do?

735i '88 Oil Pressure Sensor17 Jan 2007 00:14 GMT11
I have a 1988 735i with 125,000 miles and the oil pressure sensor
message came on a few weeks ago after the first below freezing night.
The mechanic changed the sensor and checked the car out and everything
seemed OK. The other day, also below freezing, the message came back

10 days ago the ASC light came on then about 2 seconds later the EML light

Fuel Gauge problem with 2004 X516 Jan 2007 19:43 GMT5
I have a 2004 diesel X5 and I have noticed that the fuel gauge seems to
"stick" at just under half way and no longer reflects how much fuel is
in the tank.  The only way I can tell how far I can drive is using the
trip meter as I know I can get about 500 miles to a tank.

she notices that all 4 windows are sometimes open. The amount varies from
slightly, to half way.

Z3 Wheels / tires16 Jan 2007 05:22 GMT1
A few weeks ago I posted a request for information and opinions regarding
wheel / tire upgrades for my 2002 Z3. I appreciate all the responses. This
is a follow-up to that post.
My stock tires were 225/50-16 on stock 16" BMW wheels. I was considering
One key not activating alarm.16 Jan 2007 04:17 GMT5
I purchased a used Z4 and it came with three keys.  I understand the keys
need to be used in order to "charge up."  Once they discharge they will no
longer work.
I had a basic OEM alarm put in the car.  Two of the keys activate the alarm
