the main large rubber hose for air intake, underneath was a wierd shaed pipe
that had dislodged but didnt look like it, bit of fiddling and its running
sweet

My 2003 X 5 has a tailgate rattle.  The local BMW agent has fixed it
four times.  They tell me this is common problem.
Anyone else has had this rattle?  I'm going to write to BMW, but I'd
like to get this groups opinion.

A couple of days ago my yr 2000 528iA Sport started running with a
very noisy fan all the time. It starts about 30 seconds after the
engine is started (no matter whether warm or cold) and runs until you
switch it off again.

took off the plastic to get to the butterfly. he said open the butterfly,
spray the stuff around and clean off with a toothbrush...

Chris at German Autosport in Berkeley told me I need to replace the upper
rear control arm and the ball socket - there was visible movement
possible in the left rear wheel , while car was racked.

How does the chrome trim underneath the windows come off? I know how
to remove the top trim across the drip edge, just need to know how the
two pieces (one on the door and the other underneath the pop out
window) come off. Thanks in advance...

I was driving back from a longish trip and my digital instrument
cluster, gas and temp gauges went blank and when I braked the chime
came on continuously and rather loud. Two days ago the cluster went
out but came back on, then yesterday it did the same thing when I hit

browsed through the older posts looking for recommendations for a
sport exhaust for a 2003 325Ci coupe. I contacted a Beemer auto-sport
shop and the guy recommended not to change the whole catback system,
just the muffler.

As I took my car out of the barn this morning I saw a mouse run across
the driveway.  I didn't think anything of it until I got to work and
opened the glove box.  Inside was a shredded package of tissues and
some paperwork is slightly damaged.

We recently purchased a bmw x5-2001. Before we took possession of it the

I  have had my Z4 since November and normally drive it on weekends.  My

Recently acquired a 318i lux,and cannot understand a sound I get about
twice per day when driving...The sound is `bleep-bleep-bleep`.
This with the radio turned off.

It's a 1992 I've owned since new.  Small puddle forming underneath and
looked to be seeping from the base of the reservoir where it attaches to
the radiator housing.  Most (here and elsewhere) suggested replacing the
entire radiator but I could not resist the possibility that ...

I just purchased a 87 325es, car is in great shape, only 113k on it,
and had a lot of engine work done on it before I purchased it.  The
problem is the car seems to have no torque or preformance.  It can't
pull itself up a hill unless you're in a low gear, and have the RPM's
