After being stuck in very slow, heavy traffic for an hour (South Mimms, 30th
July, overturned lorry? Grrrr.) my E34 temp shot up to just under red. Got
it to side of motorway and let it cool down. Seemed ok.
However, temp gauge started dropping to cold then back up again ...

I'm on my 2nd E36 that had fuel level problems where it was reported that
the tank was empty after I had filled it.
My daughter has an E46 that displays remaining fuel/distance but is actually
empty and the local tow truck is in the immediate future. .

I have some coolant leaking inside my 1988 7351 BMW, a friend said it
could be the heater core, can anyone help? Is this a self fix or needs
to go to the dealer?

My friend just had rear brakes, etc., put on her 97 528i (160K miles)
and she has experienced some sort of electrical issue...the latest
being that the shop (local service station) cannot determine why her
brake lights will not work.

I know this is a BMW newsgroup, but I am desparate for help.

I have a black on black 2004 x3 and was wondering how to touch up little scratches etc on the plastic trim around the car. Ti does not seem to be painted but if you get a little wax on it from waxing the car or a scratch it looks horrable. is there any way to fix or clean it ...

I am looking to trade a set of nice Audi alloys for a set of BMW

Have a '98 non Vanos 540i6. Car has 270k km (168k miles) and runs very good;
passes emission tests and still gives factory near performance, no strange
or ticking noises.
Engine was running on Shell 5w30 until I got it, now I put in Mobil1 5w30.

Anyone know if adding after market brakes (e.g. Brembo etc) has any
effect on the anti-lock/dsc/traction control system?
