Stupid design decisions09 Jul 2007 23:31 GMT60
Sorry, but this needs to be said.
No oil dip stick:  Maybe this would be okay, if it were not for the
fact that sensors seem to be BMW's weak spot.  I know on my E46, the
oil-level sensor is a bit flakey, as is the washer-fluid sensor.
Service Interval Reset09 Jul 2007 15:46 GMT8
On my E36, I reset by jumping Pins 7 and 19 (or whatever -- I can look it
up), but I haven't got the reset procedure for my daughter's E46.
I'm looking in the manual right now and do not see the reset procedure ...

E46 Headache08 Jul 2007 06:56 GMT16
   I feel like I'm back home. I've just purchased a 2002 E46 325i (Silver
Ext - Black Int). I went over a year without a BMW... I hope never to repeat
that mistake. (Miatas... Phooey)
The car I picked up has just over 40k miles on it. The dashboard

E90 speedometer error - can calibrate?07 Jul 2007 21:33 GMT20
I have a 2006 E90 (330xi).
I had heard from another owner of an E90 at work, that his speedometer reads
high, compared to what he was getting on his portable GPS.
I tried same (using a Garmin Gecko 201) and also noticed the speedo reads
Transmission problems - I hope someone can help07 Jul 2007 04:53 GMT1
I've been having some trouble driving my 1995 BMW 525i.  The
transmission light continues to pop on but I'm not sure where to check
to find out how much transmission fluid is in the car. Is it under the
hood? Or under the back seats?
E39 windows?06 Jul 2007 23:50 GMT1
My passenger window goes up and down, but the express fucntion is not
working. It goes down on express mode, but I have to hold the switch for the
window to go up. It does not matter if it is the driver or passenger switch
I have to hold it for the window to go up. Is this still ...
E90 difference in gauges?06 Jul 2007 17:48 GMT12
I recently took a look at the 328i and 335i E90 sedans.
On the 335, it looked like the MPG gauge was not there.
On the 328i, there was no temperature gauge.
Why the difference between the two?
Electronic Fuel Injection M3005 Jul 2007 21:50 GMT8
I have a '91 535i.  Does my car have a "Motronic" computer controlled
fuel injection system?  Basically, what I want to do is make my air/
fuel mixture leaner (more air and less fuel) and keep it that way.
How would I accomplish this earth-shattering feat?  If I disconnected

E46 Headache - Updated and Fixed05 Jul 2007 13:31 GMT1
I found the problem with my E46 325i. I figured I'd share it. The problem
had nothing to do with resistance or bulb base materials, etc.
I had a new neighbor move in Wednesday of last week. I noticed he also had
an E46 325i .  This morning he came by. We enjoyed a nice pot of ...
