1.  Is the 2006 325i (with the new body style) the same engine as the
new 328i?  Or did it have the old 2.5L engine of the 325i E46?
2.  Does the E46 have an "automatic" only or are all the "automatics"
really steptronics?

My 1990 318is has had panel repairs and the car is now various shades of
red - one for each repair.
Some low-life recently coined the entire length of the passenger side of my
car.  I'm going to get it repaired and am considering getting the entire car

I have a 2002 320DSE fitted with parking sensors at the rear. Now when
I engage reverse gear I get a constant tone when there's nothing
behind the car and I'm told that this probably means that one of the
sensors is faulty.

Hi. Last nigh i got out the car went to lock the door with th key it
wouldn't lock. Then I notice my clock wasn't working, so i started checking
everything. I checked all the fuses they ar all good , Please help someone.

The dash on my 1990 318is is badly cracked.
I've had plastic welding done on it, and it didn't help  - it just split
next to the welds.
Has anyone had their dash re-skinned?  Was it successful?

Do the 2008 models (335i specifically) have the clutch delay valve?  If so,
is it same restriction to fluid flow as the one on the previous E90 models,
i.e., 325, 330?

The DSP sound system on this car sounds like exact crap...  It cuts
off when I wants, come back when it feels like it.  And there is this
annoying clicking sound thru the speakers when the volume is raised.
It play very low as if the speakers are out of phase [with the radio,

when i start my 95 525i it starts and runs, but die within 3 to 5
minutes.  Also the info center reads.." brake light circuit" and the
brake lite does not work. After a boost, the "brake light circuit"
clears and the brake lite start working again.

I have a BMW 323is and the trunk light stays on.  We have to slam the
trunk several times to get the light to go out and then we can lock
the car w/remote.
If the trunk lid is up and I depress the trunk switch/plunger the

1988 325. I can jump the pump with a hand held 12v battery and it
pumps but if I use the switch on the steering column nothing happens.
Any idea where it would get lost along the way? The fuse is good.

I have a 2002 325i and I guess it is just getting to that point where
repairs are going to dog me.  I recently posted about my oil light issue,
thanks for all the responses but I also have two other issues.  I think my
battery is getting towards the end and that;s an easy fix, ...

Anyone know the proper operating temp range for a thermostat on an e39
(530i)?  Mine will get up to about 92C, but then occasionally drops down to
as low as 78C, for example when driving on the highway at 85mph.  Is this
too low and is indicative of a thermostat stuck open?

I have my eye on a 325Xi Touring, Steptronic, 185k kilometers (140k miles or
so)
It is the ONLY touring model available in my area, so I have little choice
;)
