Changed my "lifetime" tranny fluid...02 Jan 2008 16:01 GMT3
...and rear differential fluid, at 87,000 miles, on my 2000 323i.  
I was in for an "inspection 1", and asked about BMW's change of policy
regarding that "lifetime" tranny fluid.  The service rep conceded,
paraphrasing, that "the engineers are now considering changing the

I have a 2005 2.5L Z4 automatic.  It seems to me there is a slight
hesitation when I start from a complete stop.  Then it takes off.  Not
smooth at all.
This is in contrast to my Toyota truck (stick) which does not hesitate at

Ok, the stalling problem is now over. The car just cranks and won't
start, so at least it's not an intermittent fault and it's in the
driveway.
