bmw e30 "crunchy" brakes15 May 2008 15:43 GMT8
My 89 325i has a brake problem I haven't experienced before
on any other car. Several times a day, when the brake pedal
is depressed it feels (for the lack of a better term) crunchy,
a bit like the ABS is kicking in. For those of you who live
clogged fuel filter causes engine to overheat?14 May 2008 23:36 GMT5
My wife worked for 6 months as a car detailer in a BMW Autohaus.
She says while she was there, there had two cars in the workshop
that overheated because the fuel filter was dirty.
I never heard this before.  I reckon the mechanics were pulling

2000 328i Fan problem13 May 2008 09:36 GMT1
Hi - the heating/cooling fan on my 328i is intermittent. It doesn't matter
if I have the a/c on or not - sometimes it works and others not. I'm
wondering if there is some sort of overheat sensor on the fan. Guess I have
to pull the dash to get to it ?? - or maybe just the duct ...
E32  Lic Plate Lights Error13 May 2008 04:25 GMT8
1994 740iL
The Lic Plate Lights (in trunk lid) will not turn on.  Interesting thing is
that when I lift the trunk lid to the full stop, they both turn on.  When I
lower the trunk lid, they turn off again.  Any ideas from you electrical
Z3 chair slides (has play)13 May 2008 04:04 GMT2
My '98 Z3 passenger chair has play in it (slides a little).  What's
interesting is that if the chair is moved all the way back or forward
their is no sliding (play).
Any advice (or diagrams) would be most helpful.
How Does A Car Run on Water?13 May 2008 00:17 GMT1
...Many people are still skeptical about this idea, but this is indeed
possible today. People across the globe are converting their cars with
the water hybrid technology...

2008 Mazda RX-811 May 2008 20:47 GMT2
I'll go ahead and a risk-based marketing guess that good people want
to Mazda I think the 2008 Mazda RX-8 40th Anniversary Edition as the
culmination of their design and engineering genius. Unfortunately, the
first thing that crosses my mind is that the suicide-doored, a little
Plan on driving a new car on a 3000mile highway trip.  Bad idea?10 May 2008 18:20 GMT5
I was planning on taking my soon to take possession X5 on a trip which
will consist mostly of highway driving of about 3000mile drive and
been told that that's not such a good idea because you don't want to
drive a brand new car on the highway for any extended amount if you
1995 5.30i fuel relay problem09 May 2008 16:26 GMT1
Car won't start. Coughed a few times before stalling.
Fuel relay not getting ground signal from ECU.
Anyone have any suggestions on what to check next?

Roof Lining08 May 2008 04:30 GMT2
The interior roof lining in my 1995 325is is hanging down and pretty
much hanging off the ceiling all he way and only held up by the edges
on the left and right side above the windows.  Is there anyway to
repair this or do I have to have it replaced?  What type of person
Cold Air Intake E3608 May 2008 03:33 GMT3
Prior to replacing my 96- e36 manifold with one from a 92-95, I was
going to install a cold air intake first; I'll install the manifold
when more funds become available. I looked at Conforti, Dinan and
ECIS, while they are all very good systems my question is why are
E30 Air conditioning07 May 2008 21:45 GMT5
Over the last several years, the air conditioning on my E30 has gotten
weaker and weaker. Now I can't tell if the air is any cooler at all with
it on. Is this likely to need only a refrigerant recharge?

Problem with windshield washer07 May 2008 17:26 GMT1
Problem not with nozzles or valves, because when I disconnect the hose
that feeds them, very little to nothing comes out.  The reservoir is close
to full and the washer fluid pump appears to be working,,,,well, it makes
its usual whirring noise when activated, but as I said, nothing ...
BMW M1 Protoype Spied?07 May 2008 15:26 GMT1
A completely undisguised photo from a hangar in Spain of what appears to be a prototype for the BMW M1 has surfaced, the debatable question we now need to resolve is, is this real? Or is it just a damn good photoshop?
