E30 starter screaming on warm start30 Jul 2008 20:22 GMT2
The engine starts normally when cold and will start easily enough when
warm.  However, on a warm start the starter usually lets out a
shrieking noise while it is cranking over.  Bad bendix perhaps?
I'm not sure of the age of the starter and have owned the car for a

I have a 1995 318, didn't get a instruction manual when I bought it.
I'm maybe just stupid but I can't get the air conditioning to work, online
manuals seem difficult to find.
When I switch on what I think is the air con a load goes on the engine

Does anyone have any tips for tracing what is wrong with an airbag in my

The red "faulty airbag" light has turned on and I wonder if there is
anything I can do before taking it to the dealer and having them look at the
Water as fuel for cars by 201029 Jul 2008 15:34 GMT41

cell" automobile produce the energy needed to move…

Dear netters,

318ti stalling problem28 Jul 2008 23:39 GMT2
wife's 03 model, manual, 70K km, is stalling & chocking at low rev's.
Mostly when its first started. We are in Australia, mornings are not that
cold.
It becomes very dangerous, specially when you stalls at the intersection.
E46 won't start28 Jul 2008 18:55 GMT11
My 2003 325i won't start.  The last few times I started the
car it did have a kind of "choked" feel to it.  The battery seems
OK as the lights and stuff turn on fine.  When I turn the ignition
I here clicking, but no life in the engine.

530i vs. 540i26 Jul 2008 04:02 GMT13
I'm having a hard time deciding.  I'm looking at 2000-2001's w/about
100K miles for $10-12K. Probably a Sport Pkg w/Steptronic.
I have a Z3 and my BMW-only mechanic says go w/the 530i, but my heart
says V8.  Maintenance/nightmare diffs?  What about MPG diffs.  I'd be
The problem with anti-lock brakes...25 Jul 2008 23:46 GMT4
The guy behind you doesn't have them... and he's talking on his cell phone
and fiddling with his radio at the same time.
I have a scratch on my rear bumper now.
95 730il E38 rear window replacement ? double glazed or single ?25 Jul 2008 20:38 GMT6
This car originally had a double glazed rear window. The double glazed
replacement window is very expensive, so I am hoping that I can use the
single glazed window for E38 instead?
Can anyone tell me if this will be a problem?
BMW 520 i SE 198925 Jul 2008 20:25 GMT4
Problem with cold starting. Hit or miss. If you miss it, car floods
and I have to wait for a while to have another go. If it kicks in, I
still have to wait a while for engine to warm up before I can drive
away otherwise the engine cuts off and of course the steering locks.
