8" Free air10 Oct 2003 09:52 GMT3
I am buying subs for my car.  I have 2 10" Alpine Type R's on order.
I plan on putting them in a sealed box.  I also would like to cut a
hole in the back of my car between the 6x9's (I have a 97 Sebring
LXi), and put a 8" freeair midbass sub.  Is there anything out there

IDMAX port question10 Oct 2003 00:56 GMT4
Hey all,
I'm building a vented enclosure for my IDMAX and I wanted to get some
opinions about my vent setup. It will be a 2.5cf box tuned to 29Hz.  I can
do either a single 4" port 10" long (29.1Hz) OR dual 4" ports 25 (29.79Hz).

Sonotube?10 Oct 2003 00:11 GMT4
Has anyone ever made car audio subs out of this stuff?  Is is hard to work
with/cut?  Is it durable enough for use in a car?
Heres a HT page with some sonotube projects.

Help with Sable LX 6 CD Changer.09 Oct 2003 23:56 GMT2
My 6 CD Changer has stopped working. I was wondering if anyone has
experience installing a new name unit in the trunk and if the controls will
work the new unit simply by plugging in to existing trunk connector.

Anyone have the 12W6V1s???
I have a 2DR, 2000 Chevy S-10 Blazer that I have three of them in, in a

I'm powering them with a Hifonics Zeus and they should be getting about 1200
How to help the amp from over heating?09 Oct 2003 18:15 GMT11
This summer I learned that my RF 750s amp likes to cut off, from what I
assume is over heating. It takes about 6 hours of driving. After 6 hours,
the amp that powers my subs just shuts off. I turn off the system and a few
minutes later it will play, but I left off the RF amp and ...

I recently bought a 1200W Xplod sub and the only boxes available were
sealed. Although according to the sheet it will work ok in either a ported

just put my own port hole in at the bottom side of the box or ...
'92 Accord, mostly rock music, suggestions?09 Oct 2003 09:43 GMT3
I listen to a lot of rock music, varieties of metal, punk (oldschool
and hardcore), radiohead, jethro tull, other stuff. The other thing
is, my sister tends to blast my system pretty damn loud... so do I
sometimes. In the morning, I drive to work before dawn, my hearing is
