I was wondering what would be around the perfect amp for the following subs,
in a bandpass box
two 15 inch cerwin vega subwoofers
800 Watt Set (400 Watts Maximum Power Each)

I have an older a/d/s PH15.2 and PPI 2150AM that I am planning on using in
my system and am concerned about using a head unit with hi level preamp
outputs (4V+).  Should I be worried or can they handle it?

Yesterday, my Sony CDX-MP70 display failed. I can still eject the tray
so there appears to be power. And the fuse is not burnt. But no
display.

Hello. Currently, I'm looking into two ED12Ks. I'm fairly new to the
car audio scene, so I don't know what much means. I'd like to know
which ED12Ks to get since there are Dual 4 ohm or Single 4 ohm. I'd

with all the hype about large guage power wire i have a few questions.
tell me why i would need heavy guage power wire
tell me why i should switch from 8 guage to 4 guage
if i'm not blowing 40a fuses then in reality the 4 would be a waste, right

anyone know or work in car audio store in these area?? been to a few but
they dont have many speakers on display... need to hear some more samples...

I have a MY03 Boxster S with the MOST fibre optic sound package. My
understanding is that it's virtually impossible to add further
components due to the MOST data bus system.

okay yesterday i went to my local car audio dealer (Suburban) and told
them what i want for my headunit that im going to buy..
1) AUX inputs so that i can plug in my portable mp3 player directly to
the headunit

this sounds totally dumb but I need to know - what function does an amplifier
serve in a car audio system, beyond amp'ing the volume?  does it make a bad
head unit sound good by doing something to the signal?  will it clean up bad
sound?

I agreed to install a small and fairly crapy amp and subs in my friends
car... But when I started I sorta ran into a problem....
