Hi all; Anyone have any info on bringing an Alpine 9811/13/15 from the US to Europe? Will the RDS station identification work? Will the RDS tuning work? Only thing that I have found out is that the frequency stepping is

| Steering remote for Pioneer DEH-3500MP | 02 Dec 2003 21:02 GMT | 10 |
Is there such a thing as a steering remote that will work with the Pioneer DEH-3500MP? This has a jack for a wired remote in the back, and Pioneer sell adapter kits to fit this to existing steering remotes that are built-in. However, my car doesn't have this, and I was hoping to get ...

| CEA's new RMS ratings for 2006 | 02 Dec 2003 19:00 GMT | 3 |
Anyone heard anything about the Consumer Electronics Association having new standards for true RMS output statements? I saw a brief for a new Alpine headunit called the CDM-9821 with as power rating of 16watts x 4. Under it was a disclaimer stating

| Opinions regarding Soundstream egde amps | 02 Dec 2003 17:24 GMT | 6 |
There have been a spate of price drops on these recently. I'm thinking of getting the ega2440 (220x2 or 880x1 @ 4ohms) for $170 to run my sub. Is this the deal that it appears to be? Thanks

| Alpine 9815 and speaker/crossover questions | 02 Dec 2003 15:26 GMT | 2 |
I just picked up an Alpine 9815 h/u and was wondering about the built-in x-over. I admit I'm not -that- experienced with x-overs with speakers. My speakers are MBQuarts DKD110 and DKD116's, sub is an Infinity 12"(forget the model#). Since the unit has a built in x-over for ...

| Fiberglass newbie | 02 Dec 2003 13:24 GMT | 7 |
I am fiberglassing my spare tire well and am about 2/3 finished. I followed the instructions and used 140 drops of hardener for 10 oz of resin and its good. Today I continued but only used about 90 drops of hardener for 10 oz of resin. 1 hour later its nice and hard, identical ...

I have a 4 channel amp with 2 x 300W rms (bridged) channels. My kenwood splits is running off two of the 4 channels. So I have 1x300W rms available. I need a sub that won't be damage no matter how loud I turn the volume. I don't want to pay a lot of money only to

| Sony 6X8 Speaker problems in Taurus | 02 Dec 2003 03:31 GMT | 8 |
Ok, the first thing to mention is that I am new at car stereo stuff, but not incompitent. I have a 1992 Ford Taurus Sedan (Actually it's a Sable LS, but same difference) with the Premium sound package. I originally got rid of the rear factory 6X8 speakers and got a

| Missing serial number on AudioControl Epic-160? | 02 Dec 2003 03:22 GMT | 7 |
I bought a new AudioControl Epic-160 on eBay. I knew that I wouldn't be getting a warranty with it, and that's no problem for me. But once it arrived, I noticed something weird. It came in an AudioControl box, with the factory label sealing the lid of the box.

| shop bought box vs box built to specs | 02 Dec 2003 00:51 GMT | 4 |
How much better is it to build the box for your subs according to specs? There seems to be many boxes available but I suppose it would be better to build it yourself. What benefit does it have when you use a spec box? Better bass quality?
