When should you consider getting a capacitor for your car audio system. Would 800watts be helped out by a capacitor or would it just be a waste of money.

| A few ridiculous questions. | 26 Dec 2003 09:08 GMT | 3 |
Please excuse me for these questions, but I'll readily admit to knowing just about nothing on these subjects: 1.) How much of a difference is there between a head unit with a built-in amp and one without a built-in amp, if you're planning on

| newbie question: what amp? | 26 Dec 2003 04:39 GMT | 6 |
I'm considering picking up a pair of Image Dynamics CTX6 coax speakers as well as an ID10D4 V.3 sub which is rated @ 175W RMS. I don't think I want to amplify the speakers right now as my stock system can get good and loud but I need to know what kind of an amp would be good for ...

My brother in law recently gave me his Fosgate Power 650. Just 2 years ago it was pounding four 8" bazookas in his Mustang. I never thought 4 small bazookas could feel so good. Anyway, the amp changed hands a couple of times. Apparently,

| Stiffening Capacitors Any Use? | 24 Dec 2003 05:46 GMT | 2 |
I have heard arguments for using CAPS and arguments on how they are useless devices successfully sold purely on "hype". What is the general consensus of this forum concerning stiffening caps? Are they worth the money? Is it true that they unnecessarily drain your battery?

| Audiobahn vs Pioneer REV 6.5 | 24 Dec 2003 03:28 GMT | 2 |
I'm soon going to be in the market for a new pair of 6.5's to go with my new 4ch amp. Went to the audio shop today and listened to some of the stuff they had. They had MB Quarts, Infinity, Memphis, and Audiobahn coax 6.5's. To my ear the Audiobahns sounded the nicest, and
