I just got a JVC MP3 car stereo ( KDSX990 ) & I'm glad it was cheap ($179 at Circuit City) since it has some major flaws. This will be the last time I trust the product reviews on their site & I'm glad I only drive when it rains & I can't motorcycle.

I would like to purchase a Nakamichi deck in the States and use it overseas. Do their models allow you to change the default FM frequency step from 200KHz to 50KHz? All current Clarion models allow you to do this by pressing two buttons

| Installing component speakers..... | 16 Dec 2003 05:42 GMT | 7 |
Hey, I was wondering if the average car audio shop charges more to install components than they would to install a regular set of speakers. I'm getting a deck for Christmas, and it looks like I'll be getting some cash to get a set of speakers for the front of my car... I really ...

I have noticed that original audio cds sound better than even high quality mp3's. this is especially true when playing it in my car on my mids and tweeters. They claim that the difference in mp3 and cd audio cannot be heard. Any comments?

Paul, I seem to remember you having some experience with VWs, namely the Golf/GTi. I want to remove the amp and factory CD changer from the little storage cubby they reside in (they're disconnected anyway), in my hatch. I want to know if it's possible to mount an aftermarket amp in ...

| advice on 6x9 replacement | 15 Dec 2003 23:46 GMT | 4 |
I replaced the 4" dash speakers recently with kenwood coax--they are nice and bright, and the back 6x9's are quite muddy in the deck. However, it seems that replacing the 6x9 factory single cone with coax would be too trebley.
