Thanks!

why are salesmen such idiots?08 Mar 2004 17:08 GMT122
Looking for an MP3 player for my recently acquired truck I went to the local
electronics store which shall remain nameless. I asked the the car stereo guy
(just last week he was working the television department) about MP3 players and
he showed me a few and told me all this riff ...

stiff and really can't move. I think after 40-hours or something it will
perform well"
95 s-10 xtended cab question: dash or door08 Mar 2004 08:22 GMT8
I've got an S-10 and I'm going start working on the stereo.  The head unit
is a Sony cdx-mp40. I will be driving the front off of the HU, amp the rear
s, and throw a pair of 10's in the back; 120-150 watts.
Obviously, this will not be a competition system but one that sounds good
Pic of inside of Lightning Audio amplifier08 Mar 2004 00:20 GMT6
You may remember a week ago or so I posted a pic of the inside of a
Radio Shack amp I bought.  You could tell it was almost worthless.
Here is a pic of the inside of my new Lightning Audio amp, for those
who are interested in such things.
are crappy AMPS good....at all?08 Mar 2004 00:12 GMT6

What about brands like  THUMP and PYLE and MOBILE AUTHORITY
are they identical to any "good" brands?  Because there is a
Explorer audio headunit install07 Mar 2004 23:58 GMT4
OK, this is about my third headunit install ever in my life, and the first
(for me) for this vehicle - 96 Explorer Sport.
Purchased a new cheap and cheerful Aiwa headunit (CDC-X437). Hooked up the
appropriate wires to a new adapter cable that plugs into the Ford grey
Please recommand a low mounting depth 5 1/5 mid-woofer07 Mar 2004 18:06 GMT1
I have that particular mounting limitation.  No more than 50 mm mounting
depth.  I must replace my defective Alpine SCS 1356.
Or do you know of a place that still sells those?
Thanks!
Factory Amp Location?07 Mar 2004 15:45 GMT4
Anyone know where the factory amp in a 98 Tahoe is located?  It has the
factory 8-speaker (4 up front, 2 rear doors and 2 rear cargo area)
w/cassette & single disc cd player. I changed the head unit but it does
not power the amp for the speakers in the rear doors.
capacitor + parallel wiring question?07 Mar 2004 12:57 GMT2
I've played with capacitors in trying to make a 6db/octave hi-pass
before, but I've got a question:
I'm thinking about wiring a 6ohm tweeter with some other kind of
mid/bass speaker (not sure 4, 6 or 8ohm) but my question is how to
should I be getting mroe than 300 miles per tank?07 Mar 2004 05:46 GMT7
hi, I'm driving a 2001 max with a 5 speed. and am wondering if anything is
wrong with my car. it only has 20,000 miles (I got it at 8k) and it only gets
