I had a new amp installed yesterday (JL 450/4) - my 2nd amp, and since
the 1st amp (JL 500/1) was running off 8 gauge wire, they wanted to
run 4 gauge.  So now I have 2 runs of 4 gauge, 1 to each amp; but he

I may not be at the right group for this question. I'm sure someone here

on the cones. Anybody know what they are? These are probably real cheap,
I don't know.

I just bought a Toyota Echo and am finding my CD player a little
frustrating.  Here is the problem:
When the car is COLD, the CD plays just fine.  Usually when I'm
driving around town, I don't have a problem with skipping.  But

DIY problem: Front speakers not working02 Mar 2004 02:36 GMT5
I just purchased a Kenwood MPV622 player for my '88 RX-7 to replace
the MPV619 I had stolen a couple of months ago. When I hook the new
unit up, everything works except the front speakers. No sound at all
from them. I have no amp or disc changer or anything fancy - just a

First off, thanks for looking at this post.  I can use as much advice

OT: free webservers?02 Mar 2004 01:12 GMT17
Ok, geocities is stupid.  Anybody have any suggestions for a low-traffic
free webserver?  I don't need anything more than about 20-30MB of space.
Ads are ok, as long as they're minimal.

Fader: Preamp & powered outs01 Mar 2004 16:08 GMT3
So I prewired (hopefully adequately) my van before dropping it off at
the conversion shop.  From the dash to the mid-rear of the van I ran:
two pars of RCAs; pwr, ground, and turn-on; aux input cable; and two
sets of speaker wire (which I may not use).  I will have front door
correct box size for 10"01 Mar 2004 05:56 GMT1
I can't seem to find the correct volume for my 10" It is in a variable box.
At 1.5cuFt it sounds nice but when I make it about half of that it is a bit
softer but it sounds about the same.
What should I listen for when I size my box? I want it as small as possible.
