Is there really a difference between 94dB and 120dB SNR?10 Jul 2004 18:16 GMT12
I am currently debating between two MP3 CD receivers: The Pioneer
DEH-P4600MP and the Sony CDX-F5500. I can get either for about the
same price and both seem to have more or less the same features (I
don't need WMA playback capabilities).

Hi gang,
What do you guys think about this?  Is there really a difference
between the single 5-channel (or does Audison also have a 6 channel)

Overheating Head Unit10 Jul 2004 00:46 GMT8
My head unit has been running very hot even at lower volume levels. I
have it grounded to the factory ground wire. I also believe that the
preouts have been affected by the heat, as they no longer appear to
send a signal to my sub amp. The signal had gone out once or twice
AM noise09 Jul 2004 20:44 GMT2
since I installed a Pioneer 8600 U ,blaupunkt sub amp, Infinity speakers and
a Dayton 8" sub, my Jeep sounds 1500% better than the stock krap.  FM is
clean and clear, CD's have dynamic range and bite.  All quiet as a church
mouse.  No hum, hiss, nope, nothing.

It's time to replace my trusty Alpine 7930, internal amps aren't important

seamless integration for the new install. But sonically can I ...

Audio inputs on rear of car stereo?08 Jul 2004 22:24 GMT11
Sorry if I sound like a "dummy", but I don't know much about car audio.
I believe I have heard somewhere that car stereos that have changer
connections (as most or all car radios made in the last few years do, I
think) have RCA audio inputs in the back. Is that true?
