I know I've asked a similar question before but I'm having some
confusion with my MTX 251D amplifier's birthsheet.  I'm just trying
to figure out what power it really puts out.  The sheet says:
2 ohm 12.5 volts DC testing

I connect +/- signal from my head unit to the amp's high input wires L/R +/-
but the sound quality is not acceptable (as well as when I set the balance
to left/right BOTH of the speakers connected to the amp are still playing).
There is another, fifth wire in the high input section ...

I have a simple question:  If I use an 800W RMS amp on a 600W RMS sub,
will the sub always see 800W?  If I were to turn the gain down below its
optimal setting, would this reduce the amount of power being given to the
sub?

I'm choosing between Pioneer DEH-P77MP and PIONEER DEH-P5600MP.
I have following criterias and I value sound before in first place.
- I´ll eventually build a system with external amplifiers. I will only
need 2 piars of RCA-outs, one for the front system and one for the Sub

Out of curiosity, can anyone tell me of any 7 channel car audio amplifiers
on the market (either current or recent)? I'm familiar with the Soundstream
Da Vinci, but it's, um, more than I need/want to spend. Are there any others
out there? The Da Vinci feature set is exactly what I'm ...
