install speakers in '90 Corolla05 Jul 2004 23:24 GMT1
I'm a beginner installer and am having a problem getting started with
replacing the rear speakers of my '90 Corolla.  Can't figure out what
to do first: remove rear deck "carpet" (or how to do it), or remove
speaker coverings (how?) or what.  Sorry to seem so dumb, I'm really
Replacing mid-range driver in a component set05 Jul 2004 21:10 GMT1
I blew the one of the mid-range drivers in my Infinity Reference 610cs
component set.  As these speakers are about 8 years old I assume I can
no longer obtain a matching driver.  Is there any reason I can't
replace the mid-range drivers with a new set that has similar specs?

Hey everyone, I currently run a Clarion 545 head unit with a RF Punch
401s amp running JL xr components in the front.  I have another RF
Punch 401s running 2 10" JL's in a sealed enclosure.  Everything
sounds mint.  However, upon a recent talk with a sales guy he says my

mixing speaker wire sizes?05 Jul 2004 03:20 GMT15
I just noticed that the speaker-level input connectors that came with my
MTX404 amp have 18AWG wires attached to them.  However the amp kit I
bought contains 16 gauge speaker wire.  Would connecting two different
wires together be a bad idea?  Should I go out and grab some 18 gauge
DVC Queston05 Jul 2004 00:13 GMT4
I have a MTX T81044a which is a 10' dual 4 ohm sub. Anyways I've had it for
a couple of months now. I recently removed it, to change boxes, and noticed
that one of the tinsel leads has come unsoldered from the binding post.
Apparently my buddy who 'does these all the time' hooked it ...

Pioneer DEH-P3630MP any good?04 Jul 2004 14:59 GMT2
I'm looking for a good and inexpensive cd-player to replace the stock
radio in my '97 Camaro. I've found the Pioneer DEH-P3630MP, which seems
like a nice player. However, I haven't found any reviews anywhere, so I
was wondering if anyone here has tried it? I'm especially ...
Alpine CDA-7837 - Won't play some burned mixes04 Jul 2004 12:50 GMT15
I take all my CD's and compile them on my HDD, but this cd player won't play
them.  If its a burned copy of a normal retail CD it works, but it won't
with mixs. Don't know why.  Would there be a changer option that I could use
that would recognize them?
Chrysler Radio 1996 Dodge Stratus (Chrysler Sirrus?) Pinout question with GMC S15 Truck03 Jul 2004 23:29 GMT4
I've got an AM/FM/CD player that I pulled out of a 1996 Dodge Stratus (I
think this is basically the same as a Chrysler Sirrus) that I am trying to
install into my 1987 GMC S15 quarter ton truck.  I'm a little confused on
the pinouts (quite different between the two) and thought ...
