I am looking for a moderatly priced HU for my car and also a set of 4 speakers (probably 6x9s). I have not shopped for car stereos for awhile but today I was checking out some Kenwood CD / AM / FM units (the Excelon line). The Kenwood unit I liked was about $275 (50 watts) and

| Audison | 14 Sep 2004 02:23 GMT | 3 |
I've been looking at yanking my xtant X603 mounted in one of cars for some time, mostly because it doesn't provide enough 'oomph' when you need it most (demanding passages, and that sort of audiophile nonsense :)...) with the speakers that are in that car; I toyed with getting a ...

I would like to install an amp, sub and a new receiver in my 1999 Toyota Sienna. I was wondering how I could get the power wire from the battery to the amp. Could I tap into one of the power sockets at the back of the vehicle and get away with that?

Hey everyone.I was just wondering what are the possible negative points of running a HU with 6 volt preamp outputs to an amplifier that states the maximum preamp input voltage is 4 volts? I'm only asking because I bought an amplifier, and because of it's 4 volt limit, it eliminates ...

| Songs for tweaking | 13 Sep 2004 03:15 GMT | 8 |
I came to the realization tonight while tweaking my system that by using the same songs I traditionally use I'm completely wasting my time! I noticed that I'm too intently listening for what I "think" the song should sound like, because I'm familiar with it and I'm comparing it ...

Does anyone know the RMS power output of the DEH-P8MP headunit by Pioneer? I know the peak power is 60x4, but that could still mean RMS is only 25 watts per channel. Thanks. ---

I just purchased a 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer (without Bose system). The radio/CD that it came with does not have a cassette player, which is important to my wife/kids. What are my options for adding a cassette player WITHOUT replacing the entire head unit? Are there

I'm considering buying the Eclipse 5444 and running it with an old PPI 5075DX. The Eclipse has a 5V pre-amp out and the amp has an adjustable input sensitivity from 300mv to 2V. Question: Is it okay to just dial up the input sensitivity to 2V on
