Renault Laguna 2 radio antenna14 Sep 2004 11:04 GMT1
I have a new renault laguna 2, and I am not satisfied with the radio
reception at all. The antenna is a built in - in the right rear
window. Is there any easy way to make the reception better, without
fitting a new external antenna?
Feedback On Kenwood Front End Units ?14 Sep 2004 08:08 GMT2
I am looking for a moderatly priced HU for my car and also a set of 4
speakers (probably 6x9s). I have not shopped for car stereos for awhile
but today I was checking out some Kenwood CD / AM / FM units (the
Excelon line).  The Kenwood unit I liked was about $275 (50 watts) and
Audison14 Sep 2004 02:23 GMT3
I've been looking at yanking my xtant X603 mounted in one of cars for some
time, mostly because it doesn't provide enough 'oomph' when you need it most
(demanding passages, and that sort of audiophile nonsense :)...) with the
speakers that are in that car; I toyed with getting a ...
Help a Newbie!13 Sep 2004 10:03 GMT1
I would like to install an amp, sub and a new receiver in my 1999 Toyota
Sienna.  I was wondering how I could get the power wire from the battery to
the amp.  Could I tap into one of the power sockets at the back of the
vehicle and get away with that?
Over-volting the preamps13 Sep 2004 06:22 GMT3
Hey everyone.I was just wondering what are the possible negative points of running a HU with 6 volt preamp outputs to an amplifier
that states the maximum preamp input voltage is 4 volts? I'm only asking because I bought an amplifier, and because of it's 4 volt
limit, it eliminates ...
Songs for tweaking13 Sep 2004 03:15 GMT8
I came to the realization tonight while tweaking my system that by using the
same songs I traditionally use I'm completely wasting my time!  I noticed
that I'm too intently listening for what I "think" the song should sound
like, because I'm familiar with it and I'm comparing it ...
Hey Mark13 Sep 2004 01:00 GMT3
Hey Mark,
Didn't you replace your ESX Q1204 with an a/d/s/ unit?  Are you now or have
you ever run a/d/s/?  I am contemplating picking up their biggest 6 or 8
channel amp, but I have your old Q1204 now and its a freakin' ground

Pioneer Premeir DEH-P8MP RMS power?11 Sep 2004 23:23 GMT4
Does anyone know the RMS power output of the DEH-P8MP headunit by Pioneer? I know the peak power is 60x4, but that could still mean
RMS is only 25 watts per channel.
Thanks.

Add cassette (only) to factory FM/XM/CD player11 Sep 2004 15:31 GMT1
I just purchased a 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer (without Bose system).
The radio/CD that it came with does not have a cassette player, which
is important to my wife/kids.  What are my options for adding a
cassette player WITHOUT replacing the entire head unit?  Are there
4 channel amp question11 Sep 2004 11:39 GMT5
I only want to use one amp in my setup. I want the amp to power the 2
front speakers, the 2 rear speakers, and 1 10" subwoofer. Is it
possible to do this with a 4-Channel amp (parallel wiring maybe?) The
amp I am considering produces 100 x 4 RMS @ 4-Ohm. Thanks for your
Eclipse 5444 and Amplifier input sensitivity?11 Sep 2004 00:11 GMT1
I'm considering buying the Eclipse 5444 and running it with an old PPI
5075DX.  The Eclipse has a 5V pre-amp out and the amp has an
adjustable input sensitivity from 300mv to 2V.
Question:  Is it okay to just dial up the input sensitivity to 2V on
What is the DIN size?10 Sep 2004 12:22 GMT1
