12V vs 14.4V specifications?31 Jan 2005 22:21 GMT3
I have wondered long enough why car audio manufacturers list specs for 2
different voltages, specifically 12 volt and 14.4 volt.  The power ratings
at these two voltages can vary quite a bit (Phoenix Gold seems to come to
mind here).
Turn off internal amp Alpine HU31 Jan 2005 18:16 GMT2
I had a problem last summer with the sound cutting off when it was real
hot. Real hot as in the sun beating on my black suburban in 90 degree
heat all day. I turned on my CDA9813, drove away and in a minute or so
no sound. If I turned the unit off then on again, I had sound. I'm ...

I just bought a pair of MD140/2 and would like to add them to my
system 240. For this purpose i'd like to modify my current 2way
crossover x250 so that I get a x360a, that will drive the new MD140s

Anyone out there upgrade the speakers on the '05 Tacoma? The stock ones
seem to be

I have a 2004 Honda Accord EX w/Nav and XM. I bought an aftermarket MP3
changer. I was able to use the Honda changer bracket to mount it nicely
under the top of the trunk. I'm having a heck of a time accessing the
FM antenna input. There's a small screw on coax on the rear of the
Pioneer AUX Input30 Jan 2005 23:08 GMT4
I'm looking at the Pioneer DEH-P4600MP CD receiver and it says AUX input is
optional. I know there's some type of cable needed to get AUX input, but
what is the name of it and where can I buy it? Also where is the cable
placed (so I can connect my MP3 player)?

Installing a CD receiver myself30 Jan 2005 05:15 GMT1
I don't want to pay Best Buy or Circuit City's installation fee and want to
install the CD receiver myself. How do I do it myself? I only have
experience building computers.
(I have a 93 Galant with 2 two inch DINs and Pioneer's DEH-P4600MP CD
Fiberglass Instructional Videos30 Jan 2005 02:16 GMT2
I'm interested in learning about doing my own fiberglassing.  I found these
two auctions on eBay, both of which have earned great feedback reviews, but
I'm nonetheless skeptical.  One or both of the auctions (I'm assuming) sells
pirated copies of the same DVDs that can be found ...
