I have a volvo s40, 2005.  It's system is decent but I want a little more
bass with as small box as possible.  I have an old orion cobalt 260 amp (7-8
years old) and 2 10" JL audio subs (also about 7-8 years old) that were in
my Civic.

I have a pair of Blaupunkt 5.25" 2-ways up front in my Ford Ranger, and
love how they sound with my new head unit, but as I'm sure you're all
aware, you just can't stop tinkering....

You guys know of a good place to get a HU repaired?
I think my SUB OUT is intermittent on my Alpine 9827. It is not under
warranty.
Maybe the cost of repair would justify getting a new unit?

I finally isolated my HU's(Alpine CDA-9827) problem to the SUB OUT. It
is intermittent and then stops working.
In the mean time, during the isolation tests, I got the SUB OUT to work
for about 15 minutes and both 20A fuses on my JBL 300.1 sub amp burned

just on the preamp outputs?
